Mark was great to work with. He is knowledgeable, amiable, and shoots straight. He doesn't try to force any sales upon you or try to pressure you into buying. He asks what you want, gives recommendations and lets you try out and make decisions on your own.I spent quite a bit of time with him talking about things other than sales, and that made it a very pleasant experience. I highly recommend dealing with himBe aware that he has a lot(!) of excellent products in store. Some that I've never seen elsewhere. So if you suffer from GAS (gear acquisition syndrome) you might want to establish a firm budget before you walk through the doors!

Max gave me some very good advice on my electric guitar setup. He knows his stuff well and has lots of experience with guitar maintenance. I also got a couple sets of strings at a very good price (better than I could have got online even!). I'll certainly check out his store whenever I need any supplies again.

A very welcome change from your average Music store experience. I bought an Ibanez and couldn’t be happier. Mark is a great guy and will set you up RIGHT! Highly recommend this store.

Mark is an absolute wonder. I’d been on the hunt for a Strandberg Boden Bass since they were first announced, and to not have to travel all the way to Edmonton to make it a reality was really helpful. As soon as I made an inquiry into it, he was prompt, professional and incredibly patient with my constant delays in finally pulling the trigger and made sure communication throughout the setup and delivery was as on point as it could be.Since then, he has also helped me purchase another hard-to-find item in the Darkglass ADAM pedal, letting me know when his limited stock was in and reserving one for me even when I had to wait on funds. AND most recently was prompt about getting in touch with Strandberg over a potential warranty issue in a heartbeat. I’ve never had customer service like this before, and it’s a breath of fresh air from most guitar stores and dealers I’ve dealt with.Mark and by extension Musique Max Boutique are an absolute joy to deal with and you won’t be disappointed with what he brings to the table, both professionally and inventory-wise. He has made a customer for life with me.

Great Store. Any Issues with an order and Mark will help you out.They do not sell any low quality products like some other music stores and the owner is very honest with you about prices and will not try to upsell you on patch cords or anything you're looking to buy. Do yourself a favor and shop here for better customer service than those big chain stores.

Mark is a passionate person with a lot of experience in the music industry ! A memorable experience it was to buy my first Strandberg, also to mention that he put extra time looking for the perfect stand for it. Went for a pedal safari with my buddy today, decided we’d go visit the Musique Max on Frontenac. Parking was a breeze, removed our boots upon entry, put on some of the nice provided slippers, walked in and ogled at some gorgeous, high-end instruments and electronics. Met Mark who owns the shop and seems to be as knowledgeable as he is passionate about quality gear. This is an up to date boutique that carries a focused selection of high end, relevant, yet hard to find items. Shopping experience was great, felt like talking to a friendly custodian an art gallery rather than a grumpy and uninformed clerk. The man knows his products and clientele’s taste, clearly. Will be stopping by again soon!
