Tumpane Public School

I was a student in 2010, in 2nd or 3rd grade. Some teachers were rude but one experience with one particular teacher just makes me livid thinking about it. I was probably in 3rd grade and I didn’t know anything, i asked a peer of mine where was her dad since I never saw him, because sometimes parents volunteered or they would bring or pick up their kids. She told the teacher and the teacher got upset and I didn’t know what was going on because all I asked was an innocent question. She took me outside and the door was still open. She yelled at me to get outside and before I was out the door, she forcefully grabbed my face and made me look at her as I cried, yelling at me. She grabbed my face very hard and kept on yelling but I didn’t know why, because I didn’t know what I did wrong. I told my parents and they told the principle and ask the teacher why they did it. She said I asked an inappropriate question. Let me remind you again, I WAS 7/8! (I turned 9 in 4th grade) I remember when I was at a parent meeting my dad asked why she did that, and she was trying to make up an excuse, saying I was only saying 1/3 of the truth. EXCUSE ME?! You guys called my moms work, and said it was not their fault and that my mom almost got her fired! You are a teacher, who has a professional job, who studied and got herself educated to have this career! You guys have workshops to continue and update your knowledge on being a teacher! Do not make excuses for your behaviour and you KNOW it is wrong to touch, grab and hurt a child and cause emotional stress! This has to be the worst school I have ever went to! The teacher was a black woman, sometimes should have brought her son to school, she was about 30 or older during that time. I am sharing my traumatic experience to educate others and to know what kind of school this was. For those who do not understand what I went through, imagine your child, young and not knowing anything, being grabbed forcefully out of a classroom by their face by a teacher for asking a question they did not mean to do any harm, then when your child tells you this, you go and tell the teacher and the school, the teacher gets upset and calls you at work and tells you how you almost got her fired! Like whos fault was that! I would also like to say I have no reason to lie, I cannot sue because it has been years since this had happened, but you guys better be careful, the next parent may not be like my family, they might sue you and ruin every good thing your school had, if there was anything good at all. I also brought cocoa cola, I big box that costed about $40, wouldn’t let the students drink and I asked for it back if she wouldn’t let the kids drink it since it was like the last day of school, she refused. That is very unprofessional. I warn all parents, as someone who was a former student, DO NOT RISK YOUR CHANCES AND GO TO THIS SCHOOL IF YOU CARE FOR YOUR CHILDREN! DO NOT LET THEM EXPERIENCE THE SOMETHING LIKE WHAT I WENT THROUGH!

They’re a teeny bit unorganized on first day of school. Communication kinda sucks. The principal and school follows guidelines that aren’t the law. Had to fight for my kids rights to not wear ridiculous face shields when they’re eating their lunches. Soooooo dumb. The principal knows this momma by name now. Because I don’t play when it comes to MY kids!!!

Best school so far I had no bad experience all kids attended and attends school there , I love the daycare teacher , Madam Heba she is like a mother to my son .

The school is the worst! The kids are in control of the school and the teachers are afraid of them! The principal is a joke and kids run all over her! I feel bad for the teachers who have to work under her as she lacks all sense of responsibility and respect for her staff! The teachers hands are tied down and they cant raise the next generation properly because they fear discipline! Its a shame how the education system became as low as it is. But I’m not surprised especially at this school!

I used to go to this school until i changed back in grade 5 and my experiences in this school were terrible, the teachers are almost racist towards certain students, the school has no control over their students whatsoever and the education is horrible in general, would not recommend going to this school.

T.P.S is the greatest school in the hole wide world . I'm the luckiest purses of all and other people.

More parent involvement would improve things for the students. Better administration would help focus this school. It's chaotic and unfriendly. Some teachers try really hard to make it good for the students. But I think they are beating their heads against a brick wall called bad management. It's a really toxic learning environment; had to take my kids out so they wouldn't lose their love of learning permanently. Some problems could be up the ladder at the board level, but I think a lot of the issues are at the school level.

This is my favorite school!!! I love it so mutch, nice picture too. :3
