Great service, process was quick and efficient, 3 surfs well strapped directly on the car, wetsuits booties and gloves fits perfectly and well suited with the weather, they keep us warm… the 3 of us had fun, battled with the waves and winds and stand up on our board at the Wicky beach!

Nothing but the best things to say about this place. Cool shop. Really nice gear. Great location. But what made our experience awesome was the service. Tommy not only got us set up with great rental gear, but he was super helpful in giving us tips of all sorts. To top it off, we got back after the shop had closed but he was still there... and he let us drop our gear off. He definitely went the extra mile, with a smile. Thanks again, Tommy! We'll be back.

They were amazing! Blair & J took us out on perfect waves. Really reasonable, within 15 minutes of instruction my 7 year old twins were surfing & I actually got up... So much fun we'll definitely come back & us them again.

My kids had a great experience having group surf lessons. They were a bit nervous taking lessons with adults but they were treated well and came away very happy (so I’m happy).The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable as well. Thanks guys.

Super nice staff, but their rental learning boards are frustrating. They are a little too narrow and very slippery. Wish I had booties or they had some sort of traction. The other shop we used to learn had slightly wider boards with some traction to while paddling and standing up on.

Amazing service. Far newer and better gear than the other local shop (where we had old velcro let go numerous times making for cold hands and feet).Super friendly, personable staff spent extra time talking to both us and our kids to make sure the gear fit well. Flexible return options with the Tofino location a nice bonus. Highly, highly recommend.

Long Beach Surf Shop
Given the good reviews, we rented three wetsuits and boards from Long Beach Surf Shop. Two of the wetsuits reeked and all three pairs of boots were still wet. Didn't find this out until we were at the beach with all our gear so had to go for it anyway. Despite hot showers after surfing a few hours, the two of us with the rancid suits still smelled disgusting. It took three separate showers each to almost get the smell off our skin. Awful. Do not recommend. At the very least, check your suits and boots closely (i.e. get super up close and stick your hand in the boots before accepting the rental)!

Love these people. Always kind and smiling, always doing what's right for the customer. Have bought wetsuits, boards, fins, leashes, and rented gear. Have not once been disappointed!
