Great bottle depot. Manual and accurate counting, with itemized customer-facing screens updated in real time. Shopping carts available for unloading. Automated payouts from a machine. Friendly staff and easy experience. Parking lot entrance could be better.

Took 6 full bags mostly 500ml size only got $35 when we walked away my husband commented to me about it and the girl that was helping us yelled you can check the cameras if you don't believe me. We said no thats ok then I think a supervisor or manager came over to us and offered to check the cameras once they closed for the day and again we said no and told him it seemed odd that the customer beside us had 2 not quite full bags and a small box and she got the same amount back. My recommendation is not to go here. We won't return.

I have been going to Bowness Bottle Depot for about 30 years - and gave them a tip if the count was about what I figured. Lately, their 'counters' have been a bit shy of my estimated count (it's easy to count pop can flats, wine and beer cases, etc). Today, they conveniently, had their screen shut down and they were almost $20.00 short (due to past variances, I counted very carefully today!). The young man counting said to me It's not my fault. Do you want to check the cameras?"I'll be taking my 'returns' elsewhere in the future and I recommend that whomever reads this does the same!"

I called right before end of the day, they were kind enough to wait for me and help me out. Costumer service was very nice and efficient, the place is clean and the people are the nicest.

Thanks to the owner of the bottle depot for making my hockey team's bottle drive a huge success. I would also like to thank him for going the extra mile in picking up the bottles on a very short notice during his busy schedule.

I had 4 very large heavy duty bags..my kids had to lift them in and I gave little thought to how I was going to get them out :) I went to ask for a trolley (as opposed to a shopping cart) and 3 of the guys came right out and got all the bags loaded up. Everyone was super polite and the process was seamless. Will be going back there for sure!

All staff really friendly. Sometimes they have sandwiches for bottle pickers. Clean and always smells good.

Many times I visited bottle depot, I thought the number of counted bottles or the cash amount returned was smaller than I expected. I noticed today that the worker counted the bottle cunningly less. Like 4, 5,4,5,5 and then he put 20 in the system, not 23. I asked him how many bottles you pick every time and he said 4 bottles absolutely but it was definitely not. I argued with the manager and he said he’s running this business 20yrs and I could see the camera if I want but I didn’t have enough time to fight with them and just left. They definitely would receive government budget based on actual #of bottles but pay less to customers. The difference should be their hidden profit. The owner might have been cheating people many years. I know they work hard in the harsh environment but this kind of dishonest makes people upset. I recommend you to take a video in front of the worker or count the number of bottles before visiting there if it is not that many.
