West Country Hearth

Beautiful location with amazing staff who always go above and beyond, especially for my Grandpa

We were fortunate enough to have our father reside at West Country Hearth the last year of his life. Not only did he love it there but we enjoyed having him there. Staff were always wonderful with him and he always commented on how much he enjoyed being there.

Terrible to see a family getting a $14000 bill for flooding. Im a landlord and my renter also left the window open and pipes burst causing a flood. My building managementtold me I had to cover all costs. Which is totally wrong. INSURANCE covered EVERYTHING!! Obviously the management @ hearth are misinformed. Its a common belief that the tenant is responsible. But theyre not. Building insurance covers all damage as long as the tenant has renters insurance.Hopefully the family reads this. Do not pay them the money. Very bad pr also for west country hearth. Reading other reviews seems like the staff need a major attitude overhaul and be caring and compassionate.

LOVE LOVE this place and totally plan to move in myself when the time comes !! Close to family and the staff always seem to go above and beyond!! Soooo happy and relieved my 92 yr old Dad lives here!!!

Wonderful retirement home. Staff and management are always welcoming, a family friend’s mother lived here for years before she passed. They always took very good care of her until her passing. She was excited to be involved in group activities and was able to meet up with people to play cards. Overall an amazing home. Highly recommend to friends and family member s.

The staff at West Country Hearth are awesome and the facilities are excellent. My father lives here and loves it.

This facility is amazing. The story behind how it was established and a community coming together to keep their family members close to them is heart warming. The huge rock fire place in the Center of the common room is testament to how many people contributed to building West Country Hearth. The staff are amazing and go above and beyond for residents.

This retirement home… Blamed a 92 year old for “leaving a window open.” It caused the pipes to freeze and burst?Where was the caretakers? How long was this window left open for?Can we be sure the 92 year old was the one who opened it?The girl who called the family to inform them sounds guilty using those words.I highly doubt a 92 year old lady would enjoy her window open. She most likely was cold! And had no idea where the draft was coming from. Id hold these people accountable for their neglect.Then this place stressed her out so bad she died of heart attacks nit to long after.
