KORU
I cannot recommend KORU highly enough. At a time of sadness, Emily from Koru made the entire process as stress-free and easy as possible, sending us any resources we asked for immediately, answering emails within minutes, and helping us coordinate every detail within the tight timeline we were working with. Emily showed compassion, professionalism, and expertise. She was so wonderful to work with, and I would choose Koru again without hesitation. Thank you Emily for everything.

Ngaio and Rebecca have been amazing through this whole process. We can't thank all the staff at Koru enough for everything they have done and for helping us during this very difficult time. They are very professional and compassionate. I would 100% recommend Koru.

I had a very kind and human experience working with KORU in planning for the passing of our family member. I felt they were well informed about both conventional and alternative practices, and environmental impacts. They took time to explain things and give me information, and I never felt rushed. We were assisted in making a plan, but they also said they would be available to help at any point if the plan were to change at the last minute. I was very happy with KORU's services and grateful for their support during a difficult transition. I would recommend them for anyone, but especially those who are exploring how to facilitate a life-death transition in a thoughtful, different or more self-empowered way.

Ngaio and the Koru staff supported our family through our mother's funeral with a personal touch that you would only receive from a local independent funeral services company. I have recommended Koru to friends and family.

Ngaio has helped us on two difficult occasions. We found her to be very knowledgeable and respectful. She helped us through the process and ensured we didn't miss details we didn't know about.

KORU
Koru meant more to me and my family than their knowledge and efficiency. It was the feelings of connection and compassion from Ngaio and staff that made me feel comfortable with letting them handle the final part of my husband's journey. We'd nursed him at home, so it was particularly challenging to let go. The chance to spend a couple of hours with him in that peaceful room that Koru offered before he went to cremation, was a treasured time of stories and tears and laughter that we will always remember. I highly recommend Koru Cremation Services.

I'm writing a review of KORU from a different perspective. I work with KORU very closely as a business advisor. I can tell you that the women behind this business are honest, caring and thoughtful. They have innovative and forward-thinking ideas when it comes to deathcare. While I haven't specifically used their services, I would not hesitate to recommend them.

My mother passed away unexpectedly while visiting Vancouver from Nova Scotia. She also had duel citizenship with the US. So the situation had a few complexities, including the grief of sudden loss, the need to transport ashes across the country, and the need to handle paperwork in two countries. Ngaio was so wonderful, warm, knowledgeable, supportive and easy to deal with; she made everything a little easier. In addition, the pricing seemed very fair, especially given the sensitivity and personal touch we received. I'm grateful for having found Koru at a time when life took an unexpected and challenging turn. I highly recommend Koru.

I feel as if I don't have the right words to express how grateful I am that we found KORU to assist in honouring my fiance and his life. From the moment we met Ngaio, I felt comfortable and at ease and just kept thinking: wait
