Buyer beware! Make sure to get your free estimate" in WRITING first.I sent a text to Sky Tree Service. I got the number from a business card I had found in my mailbox. I needed 2 small cedars cut down. They came down duting the last big winter storm. I got a call back right away. The caller was pleasant and came over within a few hours. He had a look at the trees and said he could cut them down right away. I asked how much and he said he would text me the estimate. We arranged for him to come back 2 days later in the morning. BUT I stressed the estimate was needed first. I texted the next day asking for the estimate. No response. I then texted saying" don't come

This company is in the business of performing illegal tree cuts and destroying trees in Toronto. They don't have a city permit for the property, despite the owner of the property who was on site being told by the city they need a permit. Sky Tree Service rushed to cut over 50% of a large protected tree down which makes the tree unstable, and the Sky Tree Service owner gives our neighbors the finger when they ask to see a permit. If you hire them, be warned. Clearly that's not a professional way to do business in Toronto, and it puts residents in danger and potentially makes you liable.
