ICON Models | Toronto Modeling agency

I have been signed with ICON since 2019, and this is a great agency. Just like any agency, if you get signed that is not a guarantee that you will get work. The client has to select you, an agency cannot force a client to give you work. There is only so much your agency can do for you, it is also up to you to put the work in to develop your portfolio and your skills as a model. ICON has given me many opportunities and I have been very happy being signed with them and have gotten lots of work.

I singed with this agency in an exclusive for a year. they charged me 791$ for a shoot and cards. this included 30 ish cards and 4 prints. the photographer they sent me to was a little creepy as well. they also had me sign a contract and didn't send me the appendixes that went along with it with the contract until i asked about them. Needless to say I got no jobs from them, not even an email at any point in a whole year. when I initially went to meet with them they gave me an appointment at 2, and the person I was supposed to meet didn't arrive until probably around 3.

Do not sign a contract with this agency! You will regret it, while the owner becomes rich you are frustrated to know that he would never have a job for you! Absolutely nothing!!!! It's a deception.The owner asks you to pay for some folders with your photo and they are returned for you to do your own advertising and some are thrown on his table. You can go there and check it out, there are thousands of them scattered around, so you can see how many women have passed there...! It's regrettable.

1 star is more then what I wanted toRate them as. I got an email from them to come in for a meet and greet. So here’s the first impression of this “high end” modelling agency.. the 3 girls working at reception were unprofessional, inexperienced and quite honestly badly dressed. They made me wait for the manager to come for about 40min. I finally told her this was unacceptable, then he showed up. In a rush all flustered!He didn’t introduce himself, no idea what his name is. He already started with the schpill that it takes 3 years to build a model. Plzzz buddy who are you talking to??!! You didn’t bother to start by introducing your company and what you can offer my daughter. Don’t teach me about the industry, I already know. I don’t need you, but you need us (models) to make money, it is important you talk professionally, and give details that are worth listening to. You are a waste of time and so is your company. Mediocre to say the least.You gave me a creepy vibe and I would never bring my child to work for you, ever. I wanted to warn all these other mothers and young adults that got a call from you. Stay away from here!My honest advice.

I initially joined ICON in 2007. When I first walked into the office I felt alive. It was trendy, welcoming, and gives a sense of high expectations. I was sent on many auditions that were appropriate for me. I booked my first commercial through ICON in 2008, which was a well paying job. I had other bookings. I left the agency in 2010 because I had family matters to take care of. My family matters are under control now so I rejoined ICON in January of 2021. I've already booked one commercial (I only do commercials) and looking forward to the future. I strongly recommend ICON!

I signed with Icon when I moved to Toronto last year and I find them very helpful and supportive. They have been great to get me lots of opportunities for auditions and castings and ultimately work in the industry. I am very happy and excited about aiming for my future goals with their professional support and direction.

If you are looking for an agency that is very professional, honest and highly experienced in the industry, go to ICON Models. I took my 15 yr old daughter there at the beginning of this year, and although we haven’t got a call yet (we understand there are no guarantees) our overall experience and how we have been treated is bar-none. They are a fantastic agency, and I’m SO glad someone mentioned them to me.

I’ve been working with Icon for a while now. They are very present for their models and Riz is very quick to respond for anything we ask. I would 100% recommend this agency!!
