Binscarth Park & Pool

Checked in through an honour system... a perfect overnight stop in a campsite where I was left alone... I was the only one there and it wasn't really open for the season as of yet.... still it was accessible and if I had more time there ( I was on a road trip and arrived late at night ) I would have surely enjoyed it more!

Very clean facilities and very friendly staff and volunteers. Only complaint is with the pool. My children were told they had to swim 4 laps, front crawl and back crawl to be allowed in the deep end. One of my kids swam 3 front crawl laps and one back crawl. They made him do an extra back crawl lap because they wanted 2 and 2 but were not clear in their instructions. My other child alternated between front and back crawl. They told him he failed because they wanted 2 front crawl and 2 back crawl and he couldn't try again until the next day. The next day he clarified the instructions, then swam 2 front crawl and 2 back crawl. He failed again. The life guards said he looked" tired. The test should be about your ability to swim a specific distance - not the ability to do front and back crawl (I would probably fail). The test should also be objective not subjective. Either you can swim the distance

Shady, well-maintained ans relatively private, all the amenities, clean and comfortable. The only drawback is the odd golf ball that drops in from next door. Lower price than Westerner in Red Deer, and doesn't have sewer connections at the site, but overall great campsite and excellent value.

Great pool & playground. Would be a great little spot to camp with young children!

This is the COLDEST heated" pool ive ever been to. We went on a day that was around +20 outside

Stayed there Sept 6. Horrible place. Washrooms wherr filthy, showers ugh. Nothing was open. No one around, no service n phones, supposed to have Wifi, nope. Boil water advisory & they want to charge $35 a night. Definitely not worth it. Glad to get away from there. Absolutely horrible experience.

The pool was very big, definitely a place for kids. Only had 2 problems which was it was very cold for a heated pool and even with a life jacket littler kids can't go in the deep end

this pool was awesome!the two yellow slides were sooo much fun and the ice cream is delicious the only down side is the bathroom/change room was extremely gross so i recomend using the park bathroom.I hope you enjoy your time here.

Camping spots were nicely cleaned, the ladies bathroom lock was bumped and locked the whole night because they didnt have proper knobs for a public restrooms. The following day they were mad because one of the kids went into the bathroom barefoot and had dirty feet. There was a huge freak storm that passed thru, somepeople were almost hurt from falling trees and none of the staff came to check on anyone after or the following day. On a positive note the pool was nice but like others stated before some of their rules were questionable. We thought the kids were going to be kicked out because they climbed out of the pool instead of using the ladder a few times. There were no swimming deals for campers or family day passes, just coupons for uses like at the fair

We stop here every time we travel west. The pool is awesome, and the love it as well as the mini golf and playground. The RV spots are big with lots of space. The staff is friendly, and the canteen is my favourite canteen from here to NB. They have classic delicious mozza sticks and ice cream, onion rings etc. The lifeguards for the pool are watchful and very responsible.Definitely worth the stay.
