Carol's Cakes

It was a pretty cake but not what I asked for. The cake was ok but it was just a regular vanilla extract cake. I really wanted actual vanilla bean or at least Madagascar vanilla bean paste and thats what I asked for but was told they use a quality vanilla. It was just an ok plain old cake. I wanted a whipped cream or whipped edible oil like a Nutra whip and was told they could do it. I got whipped frosting which was so ridiculously sweet and piled up so high you had to scrape some off to get actual cake - not what I asked for at all. I will not go back. I would rather have had actual icing because there wouldn't have been 1 1/2 to 2 inches of it piled on the sides and top to make it look pretty and even. And WHO puts rainbow sprinkles on a Grandmother's cake????

My favourite go to for cakes! The staff is so friendly and accommodating and the cakes are always SO delicious and gorgeous. Marble cake with custard and buttercream icing - SO GOOD!

Best cream pies ever! I haven't tried throwing one in a clown's face yet, but if their splatter is as good as their taste, they would make a spectacular display!

Extremely pleased with Carol's Cakes! I order a half slab for my daughter's 7th Birthday, and I emailed them a pic of what I was looking for, and they made it even better than what I was expecting!! So happy with the look of it! As for the taste, the cake was so moist and tasty! Not a single complaint. 100% highly reccomend!!

Absolutely loved the flower bouquet cupcakes we had done for a wedding. Not only were they beautiful, they were delicious as well. A big hit! We don’t live in Thunder Bay so all arrangements were made over the phone. Customer service was fantastic. We were thrilled with the cupcakes and highly recommended Carol’s Cakes!We also had a birthday cake the night before from Carol’s Cakes, it was delicious!!

I'm addicted to your Sally Anns and pick them up weekly from Skaf's. Wanted to leave a review to give feedback on the switch to buttercream filling in the Oreo ones. It's not a good change. Way too heavy and the flavor isn't as good. Please consider changing back to the way you were making them before. They were already perfect.

Absolutely the best cake place in town! Willing to accommodate many different requests. On the past they’ve accommodated my families allergy issues and more recently helped us announce our upcoming babies gender with a gender reveal cake! I wish I could give more than 5 stars, they deserve it! ❤️

My MIL placed an order the day before my son's birthday and the cake was still ready on time. It was SO fluffy and light, and not too sweet.

For a champagne birthday I purchased an awesome tasting birthday cake. A flowered decorated pecan cake with a cream cheese and cinnamon frosting. The guests liked munching on it. Would differently recommend the bakery.
