Monday late evening August 21st 2017I googled what Chinese restaurants are open late and this restaurant is open until 1 amI ordered the jumbo shrimp vegetables chowmeinmy order arrived in few minutesthe dish is tastynoodles are crispyplenty of jumbo shrimps and vegetablesthe shrimps taste freshthe vegetables are crispy too2nd dish I ordered is ginger beefthe dish arrived in minutesit's crispy in the outside and soft beef in the inside, very tastyboth dishes have good serving portionsthe owner/chef was friendly and the one who took my orderit's a family run businessI came in when the whole family was having dinner and they just looked at me, no hi or helloI find it strange as I don't know what to feel that moment i entered the restaurantwhether I'm welcome or disturbing their dinner time based on their poker facesit was the chef who stood up and attended to me. I got sitted at a dirty table in which the owner/chef cleaned it with a wet towel, not sure if it was sanitaryI was asked what drink I want and ordered green teathe chef brought me a teapot but forgot to provide a tea cup so I had to get his attention from his family dining tableit's a casual place similar to double greetings restaurant, nothing fancy about the placethe setting is catered to group than dining alonethe chef provided take out containers right from the beginning while I'm having my dinnerforgot to bring me a plastic bag so I had to ask for oneI'm the one who packed my own left oversno big deal, typical of your average casual Chinese restaurantAt least this way, I don't feel bad not leaving a tip coz there was really no waiting done except for taking my order and delivering it to my tableI wouldn't recommend this place if you're dining alone as the 2 smallest table are meant for 4 person diningthe rest of the dining tables are for groups of 8-10 peopleI'll probably won't come back here to dine but only for take out order if ever that happens which I doubt itthe location is off stony plain road in a less desirable avenue which I wouldn't recommend to go late at night as I did on my first visitI'm giving this restaurant a 2 star rating for the 2 delicious dishes and that's about itThese 2 dishes didn't come cheapmy total bill came to almost $30 including the tea for a $1.I could have eaten the same dishes for the same price at a newer restaurant and much desirable location and someone waiting for me

Nice classical Chinese food with nothing too crazy going on. Just what you need to satisfy those cravings.Service: sometimes a little hard to get what you want across but staff are friendly and nice and you are taken care ofAtmosphere: a little small and compact. They managed to stuff a lot into the space they have.

We ordered 5 food dishes from hot wok for take out and I can tell you how they made the food taste soo good. Will order again in the future.

Good food! The portions were small and it was a bit expensive. $90 for all the food seen in the photos. Would suggest trying this place

Best Cantonese style Chinese restaurant in Edmonton! MY FAVORITE CHINESE RESTAURANT! Extremely good food!! Authentic!! I love coming here even though I live on the other side of the city, the drive is always worth it! Family owned business, owner is super nice! Price is very fair.必点，蟹肉炒饭，糯米鸡腿，烤鸭三吃！

Food is hot, fresh, and generously portioned. All of the dishes were enjoyed and leftovers were plentiful. The vegetarian options are great to see.It's not in my neighborhood, but if I'm in the area I'll gladly stop in again for another tasty meal.
