Extremely helpful and entertaining shuttle driver. Help us get back to Halifax after biking to Lunenburg bonus getting to see the Bay of Fundy on the way back.

This was an absolute highlight of our trip to Nova Scotia. We had Ian as our driver/ guide and he was so kind, knowledgeable and really made it such a fun day. He went above and beyond for us to get our luggage to our air bnb and even answered texts after we’d left the tour to help us out. I would recommend alternative tours to anyone- such a cool way to explore Nova Scotia and get around- especially if you didn’t rent a car! Thanks for everything :)

Fantastic tour company! Our guide Ian was funny and informative. Traveling with a small group is so nice and we got a real taste of what Halifax has to offer. Never felt rushed and saw plenty. I'd book with them again

We decided to use AR since we did not rent a car in Nova Scotia. Sam was awesome in getting us to where we needed to go! She was always prompt in arriving where she had to meet us and always replied to any questions we had. She made travelling around the province fun with her knowledge of the people, places and history of Nova Scotia. Her dog Lola was also an awesome companion on our trip!

My family of 4 recently did a day trip with Alternative Routes and we were thrilled to have had this tour experience with a local expert! Our tour guide was very knowledgeable, enthusiastic, gave us plenty of rest stops and photo opportunities and we all thoroughly enjoyed getting out of the city and seeing other sights outside of Halifax! Booked on viator. Alternative routes has to be your go to if you are in Halifax for a short duration and want to cover it all (and even otherwise) Sam was a delight, we had a wonderful time touring with her, she provides a lot of insight on the area while keeping the ride fun and entertaining. She is very flexible and reads the room well to cater to her guests, goes above and beyond at that! The other groups that rode with us were all amazing individuals so it definitely felt like a road trip with friends. I can't recommend this tour enough! Such a great initiative, all the best to Sam!
