I have nothing but praise for Suzanne and the company she has built. She has years and years of professional experience training dogs from little puppies to full on competition dogs. She utilizes both online and in-person teaching techniques that can accommodate local Calgarians to people across the globe. I was living abroad in Asia for a while and one of our dogs was having a hard time adjusting to his new environment. Suzanne was able to not only accommodate the 14 hour time difference but also do video based real-time training with my dog! If that isn’t a testament to her passion to helping our fur babies, I don’t know what is!

Suzanne is the best dog trainer in Calgary by far. Me and my husband have been to many trainers and nothing compares. We have a golden retriever/ lab who loves everybody and a huskie lab who is fear aggressive and she treats both completely differently. Her training style is individual to each dog and intense but also very kind. These classes have not only helped our dogs confidence and obedience but also have help mine and my husbands confidence with our dogs. I recommend doing both the indoor and then outdoor classes. Great classes !

I have nothing but amazing things to say about Suzanne! We came to her with my 3 year old German Shepherd that I was having some serious troubles with on leash. Within 1 session my Dog was a completely different dog. Suzanne takes the time to understand your dog and your relationship with your dog then builds from there. She also takes the time to help you understand how your dogs mind works which is a huge help when it comes to understanding how to train them. Not only does my dog behave incredible on a leash now but him and I also have a stronger bond. It’s like he is a completely different dog in all good ways. Highly highly recommend Suzanne for any of your dog training!

Suzanne is an unbelievable trainer who had a deep insight into all kinda of dogs.Our poor goldendoodle puppy was so timid and scared when we started, but each new class we took her to gave her, and us, more confidence. Now she is a well behaved, boisterous happy puppy.One of Calgary best kept secrets.

I attended two of Suzanne's group classes - basic and advanced - with my adult doberman. I absolutely love her, and so did my dog. She understands and loves dogs and absolutely radiates authority. She helped me understand my dog better and as a result he was way happier!

I have my puppy in his second set of classes with trainer Kristy. I took many classes in the past taught by Suzanne and admit I was a bit apprehensive that she was not teaching this time around. Suzanne assured me Kristy is an excellent teacher and she was absolutely right! Kristy is very patient and helpful and explains what we are working on in a clear, concise way. I am finding Metropawlitan's approach to puppy training to be practical, fun and rewarding. The terrier Dougal and I are learning so much. Thanks Kristy and Suzanne!

I am a first time handler stepping into the competitive dog sport world with little knowledge of how to achieve precision heeling and getting engagement from my dog. After making many mistakes and getting slightly frustrated and overwhelmed I reached out to Suzanne for help with my PSA dog Birdy. I was struggling with her needing the lure to keep her head up while heeling and getting engagement out of her around distractions. I was unable to attend in-person classes as I work out of town so we set up zoom calls once a week. Suzanne put together a weekly plan for Birdy and I and she walked me through step by step on how to achieve our goals. Every week we progressed from the week before. In 5 weeks there was a huge difference in birdy’s heeling and her engagement with me has been amazing. The knowledge I gained from Suzanne will be forever useful in the years to come. I look forward to continuing learning from Suzanne as we tackle my long list of training goals. Suzanne is phenomenal! 10/10 recommend to anyone wanting to train their dog -- or improve the training they implemented on their own. The results are drastic, even after just a single one hour session. She offers visual demonstration plus easily understood/digestible tidbits of info so it's easy to retain the lesson and continue training with your dog between sessions.My parents got a golden retriever puppy and it made it hard for me to have a calm visit at their house, once the dog was a year old and 85lbs, because I have a toddler. Our visits consisted of trying to keep the dog off the baby toys or prevent him from knocking over my son. Well, Suzanne has got this dog dialled in and now my parents are able to confidently and easily manage this large dog, and we can enjoy family time together again.

Suzanne is an amazing dog trainer! She’s professional, knowledgeable, and individualizes programs based on your dog and their temperament. Her science background is evident in all of her lessons. My dog’s engagement and obedience progressed in a short amount of time while working with her. We are so happy! Highly recommend.
