M & K Home Sales - Red Deer

I had to edit my review to reflect our most recent experience with this company. After living in our M&K Home for a couple years, we are extremely happy with their build quality. AND their service department continues to go above and beyond. On more than one occasion they have come out and fixed things that were totally outside of their control, without hesitation. I cannot speak highly enough about this organization. Thank you very much M&K!We've had a really great experience buying with M&K. We are so happy with our new home, Bev helped us get everything we wanted in our design and we couldn't be happier with the home itself. Dealing with the service side has been no different thanks to James. They've really gone above and beyond making sure the set-up and deficiencies were properly taken care of. Delivery and set-up crew was great as well. All in all, a really great company to go through when looking for your next home.

Been living I our home from M and K for about a week now and couldn't be happier with the entire process, and it was a long one!Thank you Amber and Randy and your entire team as they were extremely helpful and patient as we kept having delays from the bank getting it's stuff together, but they never pressured us and they worked with us every step of the way.I would definitely recommend them if you are looking to get a RTM. House feels very solid and well insulated in this heat wave.So again thanks from the Johnston family! We absolutely love our home!

We dealt with Kimberley to create a modular home for ourselves. Newly married, I moved into my husband's small home on an acreage, 800 Sq ft. approx.With 4 pets between us, we needed more room. I moved from a 1,500 Sq ft. condo, and my possessions are in storage. We desperately needed a larger home, and one built after WWII.Kimberley was fantastic! She's warm, friendly, very knowledgeable and feels just like dealing with a family member.She never pushed, and understood our wants even before we asked for them. She's so easy to work with, and so flexible and accommodating, scheduling around our free time and travel times from Leduc.We thank her and M & K Homes for our painless, affordable experience.

Talk about excellent service!!! We purchased a home in 2018 from M&K in Red Deer for onsite staff housing at our horse boarding facility and the whole experience was great. Right from the start dealing with Bev and James in the ordering process through to getting the home onsite. Now 5 years later I contacted them looking to get info on replacing a damaged blind for one of the bedrooms. Was put through to Randy in the service department who said that they had one in stock and even better that they would like to come and install it for us!! Now two days after my initial call a service tech is on his way to install the blind at no charge!!!! Can't say that I have ever dealt with a company, in any industry, that has come through with such fantastic service and that stands behind their product. I would have happily paid a price for the blind and installation but instead M&K has stepped up and made my day!! Thank you to everyone at M&K Homes in Red Deer.

She is incredibly personable and takes the time to understand what you are in the market for without being pushy. She continued to deliver her stellar customer service even when she was off work on vacation and sick! She tolerated our many questions and delays and helped make sure everything ran smoothly. Randy was a huge help in guiding us through the right steps to ensure everything was lined up for the delivery of our home. There were some small hiccups, but the team made it right and we are so incredibly thankful for their excellent service and beautiful home we finally get to call our own!!! Highly recommend!!!!

Update Sept '22: You'll see a new photo added to this review - that's the before (april '22) and after (sept '22). The M&K maintenance guys were here yesterday and brought all new panes from the window company (Bethel Windows & Doors) and replaced them. Shortly after the last edit (below, in about Feb '22), I emailed M & K and requested, again, they do *something*. They did finally do so.It seems the problem with our windows was the soft coat, and it would add too much length to go into that back and forth. In the end, M & K finally got the company (I'm unsure if Triple M or Bethel was the decider here) to agree to replace them (with the caveat that I lose my warranty on them, not happy about that but I'll fight that fight if I ever need to) and I requested they leave off the soft coat and give it a double hard coat, which I'm told was done, both internal panes have that coat. Bonus to no soft coat: more light will come through and my houseplant jungle will probably be thrilled. The *yearly* additional cost to heat our home should amount to around $20-50.So, I've increased my stars to 3, but it's more a 3.5, with 4 in some areas. They also replaced my L kitchen counter that cracked, again, at the corner (so this is the 3rd counter this house has had). That corner doesn't get any abuse, so it's a thing I want to mention if you're designing your kitchen - avoid the L counters. It wasn't a huge crack (but would cause problems down the road with dust and liquid getting into it) and I will probably just use a sealer if this one cracks, but I'm already looking ahead to the time when we redesign our kitchen to avoid this shape.If we could do it all again, we'd try to find a third party with experience to design the layout and options. The M&K person we worked with was happy to give us what we wanted, but we didn't necessarily know what we wanted - and needed - and the seller will, of course, be biased to their product, so a third party would have been helpful, I think. It would not have solved the window problem, but there's many areas of our home that I would love to have a do-over: wall and window placements, window sizes, bathroom fixture options (center back drain is really, really awful) and other small issues.--------------------Edit to original review, below - since this was review was posted, I've had no contact from the company regarding it, and since they've commented on more recent reviews, they've probably seen it, right? The maintenance guy took photos back to the company; and I've emailed with no response.--------------------2021 Original Review, edited for length:(a similar review is on the Triple M review page)What you are looking at in this (the first) photo, is regret. Every single window in our 2019 Triple M home - custom" built and delivered 2 years ago - has this glaze that now seems to be peeling off. This window is not dirty. The glaze was apparent right away

Buying through M&K has been the most pleasant experience we've ever had with any company in any industry. The greatest experience was working with Kimmy who listened to every detail and produced real time floor plans of our requests. No other home builder did this. We comparison shopped and the price was about $35,000 less than the competitors (2020). The greatest attribute of M & K Homes is their high quality standards. Never have they balked at a request or concern of ours and they've always come through when there were issues. Even 2 years later, M & K immediately responds to us when we have questions. Simply the best.

We met with M & K homes January of 2019. We did not have a plan to buy a home at that time but we wanted to get an idea of the cost of a home we would buy if we designed it. They didn't make us feel like we were wasting their time for something that wasn't set in stone. We returned April 2020 and said Okay! were ready

M&k was great to deal with. Kimberley and Randy took great care in answering all my questions about everything and any little detail I may have missed. Also the rest of the crew John and the cleaning lady’s are really great to deal with also. Thanks to Kimberley for making a vision come true. She did tons of leg work to make sure it came threw. Great people to deal with!Probably just as excited as I was to walk in the door, to see the end result. Thank you! For your hours spent and probably wasting some of your time. Going with M&K You are well looked after if you decide to go this route. Built a family home and can’t ask for much more.
