Since being here for a year I can honestly say it has been great. One thing I admire is the building is always clean and everyone is super nice. There always help when you need it and the gym downstairs is great to use!

I’ve lived in Oshawa all my life and now that I live on my own, 1SIXTY1 is without a doubt, one of the top 3 best places to live, in Oshawa! In all honesty, it is biased of me to state that as it is the first and only place I’ve lived independently, but it is a great pick, especially for those who are at their entry stage of independent living. The accommodations are fantastic and the fact that it is a pet friendly building is a huge plus! It’s also practically within the heart of the city meaning you have a majority of everything you need within and around the community. The building is very young, so its design, safety protection, and other services are quite modern with the latest and greatest you can get. Lastly, management is super helpful! For whatever responsibilities present, the building is never neglected and as far as any issues I’ve ever had, management is very supportive!

This building is really safe and clean at all times! The concierge is always present for safety. Love the building and the area. Close by to almost everything specially grocery stores! No problems with it yet.

1SIXTY1 is a great apartment building. Conveniently located near many bus routes, the OntarioTech downtown campus, and a library. NoFrills and Costco are a 12 minute walk away! The building has a nice gym and is overall very well-managed by a great team who take any complaints/issues seriously and are always looking to improve the living experience.

A fine place to live, but it should be noted that there are no cameras on any of the floors. Amazon packages being stolen seems to be common. Security could be improved.

really good units to move into. the studio apartments are nice and cozy, bathrooms are beautiful. one of the only studios in apartments buildings that has an oven which is nice. the staff are great, and it’s a very clean building!

The building is very well maintained and provides finest services to have comfortable long term stay and residence . Would recommend this to everyone! I am fortunate to see and experience this service, as my best friend is a resident here and now I am planning to move in soon .

I’ve lived at 161 for two years now, shortly after the building had finished being built, and have had little to no issues here. The staff have been very accommodating and easy to work with whenever I have needed anything. They’re friendly and always do their best to do what they can.The apartments are nice, albeit small. With that being said, it may not meet the needs of some working adults due to originally being intended for students. The amount of storage space is rather minimal and you may either have to get creative or get your own self-storage unit elsewhere.The common rooms on each floor are nice, the gym is basic but also nice, and the multipurpose/hangout room on the main floor is also a good place to hangout with your friends/visitors.As long as you keep in mind this building was originally intended to be a student only building and are able to adapt its a great place to live.

161 was the perfect place to move as a stepping stone from living with parents to moving out on our own. The bachelor apartment was a decent size for us as a couple, and came with the necessary appliances needed. Joanna and Juan have truly been a pleasure to get to know.

This is a very beautiful and clean place to live. The staff are incredibly kind and I always feel safe. There are multiple common area spaces, a gym and laundry available without having to leave the building. It’s a relatively new building so I haven’t had any problems with appliances. Paired with reasonable rent, there are honestly many good things about living here. If you are thinking about moving in I’d say go for it! The only downside after two years here is soundproofing haha so music-loving neighbours and dogs will be heard. I’ve never found it too unreasonable at least.
