I was experiencing severe sciatica from a bulging disc in lower lumbar region. The pain was unbearable at times and made walking difficult drastically changing my quality of life. Missing work and many days spent resting in bed or on the couch until I found Dr. Mackenzie and made an appointment for a free consultation. It helps if you have past imagining reports and can provide as much history as possible however he does have the ability to do digital X-rays on site which is great! Treatment began immediately with cold laser therapy, chiropractic adjustments and spinal decompression. I soon realized I was in good hands with his team of professional, knowledgeable and friendly staff. I write this on day 15 of my treatment and can honestly say I have my quality of life back again and thinking I might need surgery is no longer an option at this point. You must understand that this is not your typical chiropractic practice as Dr. Mackenzie has sophisticated and expensive equipment to manage and focus on getting you well not to mention he has over 50 years of experience. Treatments are more expensive for this reason and you must be patient and disciplined in attending your treatments while the healing is taking place. I also highly suggest getting a lumbar support brace which is covered by most extended medical insurers and you must wear it as suggested by Dr. Mackenzie and his staff, it helps in the healing process! Its been wonderful getting my treatments here. I had tendinitis in my shoulder and right knee pain, I am relieved of my pain and feel so much better, and I greatly recommend any person with problems with the neck or back and knee. In winter 2021 I started experiencing lasting back pain resonating into my leg and buttock which made me almost immobile. The x-ray and CT scan showed that a bulging disk was pressing the nerve resulting in pain. I tried acupuncture, massage therapy, steroid muscle shots, and nothing seemed helping me. After exercising all those options for 5 months, I came to see Dr. MacKenzie. They assessed my condition, and made a treatment plan for 25 sessions. I felt relief after a couple of weeks, but continued through the entire treatment time. After each session Dr. MacKenzie personally did assessment to make adjustments with the treatment. I really appreciate what has been at SDI, my life is back. I can go hiking and biking. I would like to express my gratitude to the entire staff for personal approach every single session, the warm and positive atmosphere in the office. It was very easy to do all bookings and rescheduling of the treatment sessions considering the busy life we all have.

I had left leg sciatica pain for more than 2 years. I was doing almost 0 activity, difficulty walking standing sitting and even sleeping was horrible. this doctor's ,were very helpful with my sciatica pain, took me in right away , gave me a x ray and told me I have bulging dics ,I went for approx 16 session of laser and decompression spine and I feel 90% better, the other 10% is on me , making my core stronger !highly recommended, all the stuff are very friendly and make you feel welcome and care about you !Thank you so much !Isaac Marquez

I came to see Dr. Mackenzie five years after having spinal surgery. I had reduced function and constant pain in my back and arms. I had exhausted all other treatment options. Through spinal decompression, laser therapy and chiropractic treatments Dr. Mackenzie and his team have significantly improved my quality of life.
