CHSLD Floralies-De-Lasalle

My mom moved in in December. I could take off a star because there have been problems -- which is not surprising, due to COVID. But overall, my mom is very well taken care of. The PABs and nurses are for the most part reliable and caring, the director is responsive, meals and maintenance carried out with a smile, it has a very kind hairdresser, no COVID outbreaks since she's been there, it's spanking clean, it has the intelligent and helpful Alex at the door, and most of all, it has a Carla at reception. Carla is the heart of the place. Treat her with respect and she'll work her magic for you. A competent and caring staff at the door make a huge difference in a residence.I've been going almost every day since my mother moved in. I highly recommend Floralies LaSalle. Also, I looked everywhere in the west and the South Shore: by far the best bang for your buck.PHOTO: My mom enjoying the Jiggs dinner I made for St Patrick's Day. But for the most part, she enjoys residence food. Especially the dessert!

I am sadly familiar with Floralies Lasalle. I went to the Quebec ombudsman about them after my loved one almost died of a bedsore suffered in a 10-day lockdown in 2018. What I saw then was exactly as described recently on the news: gross negligence and incompetence—and a general lack of protocols, prevention measures, treatments, and services. I am convinced that some of their employees did not have the certification required to work at a CHSLD.UPDATE: I recently discovered that the Floralies doctor on staff at the time , about whom I’d filed a complaint of incompetence, was stripped of his medical license.

How is this place still open?

Such a beautiful place, kept really clean. Staff was amazing 10/10 love this place!

My Mom was a resident at Floralies-De-Lasalle for about 2 years. She was well taken care of during her stay. The staff are very hard working and do their best to tend to the needs of their residents with the resources they have. On behalf of my entire famiy, I want to thank everyone at Floralies-De-Lasalle for taking care of mom.

Mon père avait peur ,il me disait des choses qui se passait mais je ne le croyais pas, avec les nouvelles à la télé cette semaine j'aurais dû le croire , heureusement il est déménagé

This place is a hole in the wall and it does not care about it’s patients at all.

La pire androit que j'ai vu de ma vie là seure de mon amie Hélène est la et il ne von rien pour elle ils laise lest personne seule et lest préposé von rien et lest laise mourir de faim

Mauvais service .Changement incessant de personnel et manque de motivation lorsque l'on demande une assistance. On avait promis à mon père une visite du médecin à chaque mois mais finalement les dates sont toujours repoussées. Mon père se plaint aussi de devoir parler la plupart du temps en anglais faute de préposés qui sachent s'exprimer ou comprendre le français. La qualité des services n'est pas à la hauteur des prix élevés exigées. Les compagnies européennes qui détiennent les actions des résidences les Floralies auraient intérêts à revoir la qualité des services .
