Cocoon Apothecary Skin Care

I have been using their products for 2 years now and love each and every one of them! I have very sensitive skin and their products have not irritated my skin. The scents are beautiful! Also, 5 stars for being natural, vegan, and cruelty free. Every experience I have had in their store has been very welcoming.

Amazing products!! I have very dry, sensitive skin and strive to support small ethical businesses without sacrificing effectiveness. Having dry skin, winter was always the worst for me as my skin would dry out and crack (even on my face) and it was taking it toll on my skin.It took me years to find a facial line that treated my dry skin without being greasy, was gentle enough to not worsen my dry skin or cause a rash, didn't cause a burning feeling on my skin when applied AND was an ethical small business. I have found Cocoon and there is no turning back. I use no other skincare products because this line has everything I need to keep my skin healthy and glowing from head to toe. Also, I get compliments on my skin all the time now.I look forward to my skin care routine everyday, it is my time to slow down and lather myself in self-care. The products smell amazing and feel so good going on! It is easy to be in the moment when using them.Also, their customer service is top notch. They are quick to respond and always happy to help. I have exclusively been using Cocoon Apothecary on my face for probably 10 years now. I have combination skin that in my 20s I had a hard time figuring out. Once I started using Cocoon Apothecary (petal purity and rose cheeks) I got fewer pimples while using a more decadent facial cream.Also - to the men - the men's line is great too. My husband loves the shave cream!

I have been using Cocoon products since April 2020 and my skin has never looked better !The website is user friendly and since I live local, I find the delivery to be unbelievably speedy.I think the product I love the most is the rosey cheeks cream. I apply it in the morning and it keeps my face moisturized all day without feeling greasy or heavy. Oh I also love the carotene serum. I put a couple drops in the cream on my hand before applying it and it gives me the nicest glow. On these grey winter days a little glow goes a long way !I think it is so awesome that we have such a cool, environmentally friendly, family run business here in KW. Places like this are what makes our city so special, and it's why so many of us here have such great skin ;).

I have met the couple who not only own Cocoon Apothecary but also create and produce their pure and high performing products!! My teens use both of the skin care lines, I love the bath bombs and the body lotion. It’s such an amazing feeling to know you’re using products of the highest organic quality & integrity while supporting a truly locally-founded and run company! I will be a lifetime customer ans can only strongly suggest you try their amazing products. What we put on our bodies is ingested just as though we have eaten it, and these are products you can trust will not have any hidden toxins adding to your body burden of chemicals! So grateful for cocoon apothecary!

I have used the Reflector for a couple years. I still think it has great aspects like no fragrance & Health Canada registered spf rating. But I have had a horrible experience with the brand recently - never experienced anything like it before. I wasn't going to write this but doing so now because they decided to call random reviewers by my name and slander me here (screenshot included, their comment now deleted). And because they don't know what customer service is & how to protect customers' privacy, I will be leaving a detailed review, in the order the events took place, that I hope you will take the time to read before purchasing. In case you don't read the entire thing, THEY ONLY POST REVIEWS ON THEIR WEBSITE THAT THEY LIKE. Oh and also, they are LIARS. They will try their best to blame their customers and save face so I do not trust their replies to the lower rated reviews here.Last year, I purchased 2 bottles of the Reflector from The Big Carrot in Toronto & noticed there was separation in both of the bottles. I have attached videos taken of the completely separated product & if anyone feels strongly about the medical purpose of a sunscreen, you will know how dangerous this can be for your skin protection. So I decided to write a review of the Reflector on their website on Nov, 2020 (screenshot 1).Instead of my review being posted on their website though, I got an email reply back from them explaining that they have only received the separation feedback from one other customer & how much they believe in their formula. They also informed me that they recently switched to a thicker pump tube for improvement on my last issue.I was happy to have someone reach out to me & wrote them an excited email back on 11/11/2020 (screenshot 2). I provided them with my batch number in hopes they would conduct an investigation on the issues I experienced but I never heard anything back again.Last week, Jan 2021, I went to their website to purchase a new bottle for my mom & realized that my review was never posted. I replied to the original email thread asking why that might be because I feel very strongly about how companies handle customer experience & feedback.In their reply they wrote that they did not consider my review to be fair & helpful to be published publicly. Because they are a small family company, they asked me to keep complaints of such within emails directly. They also admitted that my issue was most likely caused by my bottles being first or last to be filled.As I do not agree with the perspective of only publishing reviews that sing their praises, I informed them that I will take my future reviews of their products on other platforms that will not selectively represent customer experience. Also, their main motive seemed to be to just keep negative reviews out of their website because even after admitting that they have a quality assurance issue, it's not like they assisted me with getting another bottle to change my experience. They say that they are a family business that would be hurt by a negative review but they assume customers can continue to spend money on their products that do not pass QA?!At this point they started to blame me, saying my initial review was punitive due to receiving bad customer service. But if you read my initial review, it had nothing to do with customer service! But they also decided to send me a new Reflector in this email! I confirmed if this bottle will have their new thicker pump & was very excited to try out the product again. I expressed my gratitude to them & received the product within 2 days but this is where the real horror began ...I decided to check their Google Reviews & found them publicly calling another reviewer my name (not me!) & saying I am rude & mistreated their employees! (Screenshot 3). THIS IS COMPLETELY DISRESPECTFUL, UNPROFESSIONAL AND A VIOLATION OF PRIVACY. With this review, I would like to finally bid adieu to this brand. If you decide to purchase from them & need to contact their customer service, you've been warned!

I am very eager to try their all natural and carefully curated products. I bought a trial kit to try out and the full-sized Touchy Feely body lotion in Lavender and Rosemary. I am from Calgary, Alberta so my skin is very dry. Very knowledgeable staff. I had a great first time shopping experience here and hope to become a repeat customer.

Reviewing the product (haven’t been to the storefront) but their sweet orange gel cleanser is incredible. For my combination skin it finds a way to leave my skin fresh and clear without being dry. Will be a repeat purchaser!

Their storefront is small, but it packs in so much goodness!! So happy I found this local, environmental aware, clean-skincare company.I’ve tried nearly all of their items and have loved them all. Best pics: Nordic boost for our cold/dry Canadian winters, and Rosey Cheeks facial oil for continuous moisture and lovely complexion.
