When this group was starting the church, they threw a couple fun gatherings and parties in the community, and I was super impressed each time by the quality pulled off by a small team of volunteers. I decided to hang around for a while, and eventually realized I wanted to help out. It's been 8 years now, and these folks are now family. We do a lot of fun and meaningful things in and with the community, but we also really care about each other. We babysit each other's kids, support each other through hard times, show up whenever someone needs help moving, provide meals when someone is sick... My family and I don't live downtown anymore, but our friends from church live all over the city. I love how connected and interdependent we are in spite of being spread out all over Toronto.

When we were looking for a church community downtown, there were a lot of good options. These are some of the things that pushed us over the top to choose Trinity Life Church and keep us around six years later:- A heart and structure to engage with and serve alongside the community, now St. James Town.- We felt very welcomed, including our three kids. The emphasis on small group connection has helped us make some amazing friends.- The leaders at the church are committed to living in the city.- The diversity of backgrounds, ethnicities, strengths, and personalities. (ages aren't as diverse--I'm an old guy at 46)Like every church, TLC has its imperfections because it is made up of flawed humans (including me), but this is the Toronto family we are committed to and love!

When I was looking for a church in Toronto, Trinity Life Church won be over by the community of people who welcomed me at the get go, inviting me to grab food and do other things despite still being sort of a stranger. Since that time, I am continually impressed by the desire for everybody to get better each day, and make a bigger and bigger impact on those around them. 10/10

Finding ways to connect and build meaningful relationships over the last year and a bit has been a challenge. Luckily for me this community has found creative ways to still maintain and build deeper significant friendships that I know will last a lifetime. This is a gift in a time like this, I am truly grateful for the pivots that have been made in order to ensure connection is still happening!

My wife and I checked them a few years ago and appreciated the focus on doing good within the local neighbourhood. Welcoming" isn't a typical description for a church community

Being a part of this community has been so encouraging to me. The people I've connected with here feel like home away from home. So many good conversations. Lots of opportunities to be there for each other and the wider community too. I think that mix of feeling supported and having opportunities to give back have been the right mix to help me grow as a person the past couple of years.

Trinity Life Church has become my family since I moved to Canada just over a year ago. When we came to this church we were welcomed with such warmth and friendliness. Since then I have come to learn that the church's values of Kingdom, Discipline, Society and Church lines up so well with my our views of what I believe God calls us to do which is to reflect and show the love of God to all. This church does this so well. They are constantly learning and changing hearing God's voice and moving. They have done a tremendous job in ensuring that church in pandemic is not at all lacking and still calling us to grow and love others. Thank you Trinity Life.

I've been at Trinity Life Church for four amazing years. I started attending TLC during a difficult time in my life, and my past experiences made it hard for me to be transparent about personal struggles and trust church leadership. I am incredibly thankful that I joined this supportive community of faith at the time that I did. I cannot help but be grateful for the hospitality, genuine friendships, and personal growth that I've experienced over the past few years.
