Lemongrass West restaurant
The appetizers were served to us so fast. However, we had to wait for over an hour for our main food to arrive. We were the customers who ordered first but they served the all customers who ordered after us. An hour wait is not worth it for the food that taste okay.

Best Vietnamese I've had in Calgary. So much flavour, good portions, many options, and so many gluten free choices, including spring rolls. Great service and fast. I keep returning.

Lemongrass West restaurant
My favorite restaurant in Calgary by far, simply because of their unique and unbeatable VIETNAMESE CREPES. I recommend that everyone try them at least once; I'm sure it'll become your next go to! The spring rolls are also beautifully crispy yet sweet and soft on the inside. And don't forget your bubble tea; so many great flavours to choose from (or combine if you're creative)!

Service is pretty meh to bad. The owner is a jerk so if you get him have fun. One person's bubble tea tasted chemically compared to the rest of them and it was the one person the owner didn't like. We ended up tossing the bubble tea. The pearls came warm though which I've never had before. The cubed beef and stir fried rice was really good. It boosts to be one of the safe gluten free places in Calgary. It takes forever to get your food and drink. You'll be there a long time.

There are severe problems with this restaurant.1. The entire service is self-oriented by customers. The customers have to get their own chopsticks, spoons, and their meals when the bell provided to you rings.2. There is an option for tipping in the machines. Although on the paying machine there's the option to press 'No Tip' the very fact that there are other options, especially as the first option, the dollar or percentage based tips when everything is self oriented is not ethical.3. The taste is not great. The broth has the scent of a cheap broth powder you can get from any Chinese supermarket.4. The volume of food is so low for the price. You can go to another pho nearby and for the same price you can get a lot more.4. The bowls and plates that the food comes in are single use plastic containers you get when you order delivery.5. The water is not free. I asked for a cup of water, they give me a bottled nestle purelife water and charges me without telling me that it will cost money. They charge you about $1.80 per bottle.Overall: there are so many other pho restaurants that can provide better food in non-plastic bowls/plates, at a cheaper or similar pricing. When I brought this up to the owners, the only argument that they gave was that they could barely survive from only takeout service for the last 2 years. And that they don't even have cups for water anymore. If the restaurant can't even afford to provide normal bowls at a restaurant, I don't think the business should have even opened for in-person service in the first place. This is the same quality you would see in a school cafeteria, and if that was the goal, you have achieved it.

First time being here. So I was served food with hair in it. I was told it was lemongrass, that I don't know the food (been to Vietnamese restaurants before), that I don't understand. This was said to me by the lady at the front, only server, attendant who was trying to convince me it black hair is charbroiled lemongrass. She was making a huge scene, saying everyone orders and eats it, that it was normal for the food to be cold and hair, sorry lemongrass" in it. Why would it not be all over the food then? She was upset I quietly made her aware

For the price you serve yourself. Pay before you order and they don’t have glasses of water. Only water bottles for an extra charge.I dined in and still use plastic bowls that don’t have room for enough broth, they don’t have the little glass saucers for your sauce (see from photo) and for some reason I had 4 huge slices of tomato’s in my sate pho see in photo. Didn’t come with sprouts mint or lime. Other Vietnamese restaurants are much better value and way better service

I almost cancelled dinner here because of the reviews... Well, it was AMAZING!! Super nice & friendly staff, both checked on us twice (the young lady from the till & the owner). Very fresh, high quality, tasty food & great flavours, vegetarian & GF options. I had 58B Lemongrass chicken & the rolls & it was outstanding; my friend had 74 Veg spring rolls w. vermicelli and she loved it! They DO HAVE water, ask for a glass when you order your food. Portion size seems right to me, see the pics! Going back next week to try more food there!

Used to be much better. No longer have table service and you gotta get up to order. No one even came to check on us or get us more water. Portions have gotten smaller but I won't lie the quality is still very good! Lots of great flavour in their soup. Just the right amount of spicy for their satay!Great food. Sub par service.
