Countdown Escape Rooms Thunder Bay

Really fun and different activity for families or groups. So far I have only done The Will,which is one of the easier rooms but still very challenging and fun. The rooms are very well designed and the puzzles are challenging but logical. I believe that the currently have 4 rooms and are expanding to 6. You don't actually have to escape in every room. In some you just solve a mystery. Some are quite scary and some not at allThe staff are very friendly and helpful. You can ask for hints at any time although we decided not to. They will also let you know if something silly is preventing you from solving a puzzle. For instance we searched an object completely but a clue was stuck in it in an unusual way and we were unable to solve the mystery. She encouraged us to have another lookWe went as two adults, a twelve year old and a nine year old. It is great to mix ages because you get to see how different generations think. The adults mostly solved the first few puzzles and the kids seem confused. Just when we thought it was to hard for them they realized that it was like a real life video game and from that point on I often did not even have time to read all of the clues before they had it solvedPerfect for bad weather days

Came with my friends (we are all very young and immature) and Kyra dealt with us fabulously! She made our night, super down to earth and matched our energy perfectly. Great room as well, we tried Sabotage. Thank you countdown!

If I could I would probably give this place 3.5 stars. But I'm choosing 4 because 3 is definitely too low. I went there with my wife as part of our date night and we chose the Thrones and Dragons room. The staff were very friendly and got us in the room as soon as we entered, even though we were a bit early.I do have only 3 criticisms though: 1. The overflow parking was in an empty muddy lot across the street, there was an odd musty smell in the building and some clues (in our room anyway) were quite vague. I must add though, the staff's willingness to assist with hints was very appreciated :). I will definitely come back.

I completely recommend this establishment for a fun and enjoyable time out in the community! The rooms are challenging, but fun! I have all but one room left to play and I can't wait to get back! The staff is always friendly and accommodating when thr situation requires it!Each room has a story line that gets you excited to see where it ends! Captivated by figuring out the clues that helps unlock your way to the next clue.If you haven't tried the rooms yet, here is your encouragement to go out and book a room!

First time doing one of these in 3 years and it was great! Helpful, clear directions about what the objectives were. The puzzles were satisfying to figure out and everyone in our group had no trouble contributing somewhere

We did the wizard one for my buddies birthday and we had a blast! Funny commentary and great puzzles, highly recommend!
