Paula Gilroy

Paula has been a wonderful, dependable dog walker for over two years for our two dogs. Our work schedules change week to week, and Paula is great at being flexible to accomodate us. One of our pups is not great with strangers, but was easy and happy with Paula from the start. Both dogs are happy to see Paula when she comes for their afternoon walk. Paula takes them both without other dogs along - rare for downtown dog walkers.Whenever one dog is not feeling well or something is out of the ordinary, Paula always notices and lets us know.I would highly recommend Paula for all you dog walking and visiting needs.

Paula is absolutely wonderful. I have two senior cats, one with special needs, and Paula is fantastic with them. She's been such a huge help to me, many times on short notice. She's very trust-worthy, kind and considerate. My cats love her, and I highly recommend her to anyone needing pet care. Paula always goes the extra mile, and I trust her advice and opinions as she has so much experience caring for animals.

Paula watches our two cats every time we go out of town. Our cats love her. Both of them are shy and a little anxious, but they warmed up quickly to Paula. We were worried about taking an extended trip (six weeks) out of town this Spring, but Paula had us covered and we came home to find the cats happy and healthy. She sends us pictures and videos regularly. It's so nice to know they are safe and well taken care of when we go out of town.

I have used Paula's cat sitting services twice and have been extremely happy. Paula came to my house daily to put out fresh food, change the water and litter as well as bring in my mail.My senior feral cat usually hides under the bed when strangers come into the house but she actually came out and let Paula pet her! I think Paula is a 'cat whisperer'!While I was away, Paula kept in touch via email and also sent me pictures and a video to keep me updated on my cat's progress.Paula is flexible with her scheduling, friendly and professional at all times.I would highly recommend Paula to anyone looking for a pet sitter.

Paula has been taking care of my two dogs (Boxer and Pointer-Mix) for the last year. She is trustworthy, flexible, responsive (very fast responses!), and accommodating. Most of all she cares for my pups like none other and I am always at ease knowing she is booked to take care of them.I am always impressed at how much more relaxed my dogs are when I get home from a trip, when using Paula as my sitter.Highlight recommend using her if you're in need of pet sitting services!

Our experience with Paula taking care of our cat was fantastic. She is very passionate about animals and our cat loved her visits with her. She took a lot of care to make sure everything went smoothly, and keeps you updated after every visit with photos and videos. We look forward to working with her again!

We had a good feeling about Paula and when we saw her with our cat Max, we knew she’d be a great fit. We left Max in her care for six days and it was the first time we had been away from Max from more than one night so we were a little stressed about it all. Paula was great. She sent photos and videos everyday and gave us an update on how Max was doing. She is also highly responsive and got back to us quickly about any questions we had. It meant a lot to us that our cat (and home!) were in good hands while we were gone and we were able to really enjoy our vacation. We would highly recommend Paula!

I was lucky to find Paula as a cat sitter. Kind, reliable and most importantly, the cats loved her. Every visit she would send pictures of Isabelle, Mr Fluffy Pants and (the elusive) Rodrigo. She has been flexible as well, when I've had to add on extra days, which I so appreciate! Her rates are unbeatable as well, and with a background in pet CPR you know your pets are in very good hands. I've also felt safe enough with leaving my keys with Paula for months on end, as it made it easier than organizing key handoffs with her. I'm sad I've moved neighborhoods and won't be in her service area anymore, but if you're downtown and living in the Village, St. Jamestown and Cabbagetown, be sure to book her!

Paula is the best! She is professional, responsible, attentive and an all around lovely person. She provided regular updates on how my cats were doing in my absence and I can tell from all the photos and videos she sent that they absolutely adore her.
