Lynde Institute for Dermatology

Arrived at 2:10 for 2:20 appointment with Dr Kraft. At 3:20 I had to check back in with reception as I noticed patients coming to see Dr Kraft had later appointments then myself. The receptionist went and checked and said I was next. She put me in a room at 3:30 and still at 4:00 no sign of the doctor. I truly believe that they forgot about me. I understand that this is a very busy clinic but it would be nice to be informed. I am an office manager for 3 medical clinics and we would never treat the patients as I was treated. Finally when I saw Dr Kraft he was good but he did tell me 6 patients had passed in the queue. Not a good experience.

A busy place to be sure so expect a bit of a wait upon arrival but well worth it. Dr. Lynde and his Team are professional, knowledgeable, approachable, courteous and efficient. The facility runs like a well-oiled machine with everyone doing their part, pleasantly and productively. The facility itself is spectacularly clean and organized with comfortable seating and appealing artwork in every room and hallway. I’ve been going here for years and highly recommend for all of your dermatological needs, be they medical or cosmetic

First off, I have only been a patient for approx 1 yr. I have always been seen in a timely manner. The place is well run; just like the Toronto Retina Institute. Remember, you are on a whole other level; these places are not your family physician. If you went in with a serious issue you can expect them to look after you. This might in turn cause them to run late. By the way… who shows up to a doctors office one hour early and complains that the doctor was behind schedule? Seriously? It’s like traffic… you can plan to get somewhere on time but SH_T happens. The staff is professional and polite. Dr Hakeem is great! I have stitches in my head right now and no discomfort a day later. I hadn’t planned on a biopsy… but if it made him a little behind I thank all his other patients who had to wait a little longer. It’s a trade off. It’s the world we live in. By the way… if you are seeing the head honcho (Dr Lynde) isn’t he worth waiting for? I once waited to see a Greek speaking doctor for 5 hours with a family member… count yourself lucky. As for the review about his health card… ask to speak to the doctor, you have nothing to lose. The receptionist is just doing her job. Will check in down the road with follow up review in a few years.

Got a referral to see Dr Naidoo within a month of seeing my family doctor. Didn't have any wait issues that other reviewers experienced. The appointment was great, and I recommend seeing Dr Naidoo. She was friendly, helpful, listened to my concerns and wasn't dismissive in any way.

I had a very good experience at Lynde Institute. The administrative staff are very helpful and the wait time at the clinic has been very short for all my appointments so far. Dr. Al Hakeem is very punctual, affable, and attentive. He helped me with my skin concern and his treatment worked very effectively and quickly. I highly recommend him!

I have been to a few different “rapid clinics” so I didn’t have high hopes for this one. I’ve also seen multiple dermatologists that really didn’t help me all that much and rushed me out the door with a prescription.The parking is a legitimate nightmare, you just have to wait for a spot to be open or park down the street but the clinic is good overall. I think it depends on which receptionist you get, some are very pleasant, some are very rough. I had the pleasure of having Dr. Naidoo as my dermatologist. She is absolutely phenomenal. Not only does she actually want to help me but she treats you like a friend. I can’t recommend her enough, I hope she continues to be my dermatologist from here on out.

Dr.Bashar Al Hakeem is my dermatologist. He is super chill and friendly. His professionalism and expertise make him an outstanding dermatologist. The prescribed medication have been effective. I’m satisfied my family doctor has referred me to him.

The long waits for appointments at this clinic are caused by a triple booking system. When I was there last I was speaking with others waiting - 3 of us had appointments booked with the same doctor at 10am!! Now I understand how they can be 1 hour behind at 10am. 5 minute appointments - better talk fast, before the doctor is backing out the door.

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. Was referred here by my family doctor, waited almost 3-4 months for an appointment. Thinking that I would get a consultation with a qualified dermatologist and they would examine my skin issues, potentially booking tests if needed… however that was absolutely NOT the case. Instead this place is like a walk-in clinic, had people waiting in there for hours after their scheduled appointment. I was waiting for 55 minutes before they took me into one of the walk-in rooms where I had to wait another 15 minutes. The doctor who saw me, did not even look at my skin to see what the issue was, but rather just prescribed me with two creams without even thoroughly assessing my issue and then ended our session there, the actual appointment lasted about 5 minutes. I am EXTREMELY disappointed at how this practice operates, and you should ask your doctor to find another clinic to refer you to.

I see a lot of negative reviews about wait times and I took one star off for that but honestly most every doctors office of any sort has a wait time. to me that is to be expected regardless of whether or not it's a nuisance. otherwise my experience with the actual appointment was good. Dr. Naidoo was lovely and I had what I went in for dealt with... plus walking out with a little extra knowledge and reassurance as a bonus. much appreciated.
