My first time dealing with a mechanical issue on my own and I have to say I highly recommend this company. Ty is extremely honest and trustworthy.

Cannot express how fantastic the service is here, the staff are friendly, trustworthy and most importantly honest!! They even directed me to another location which proves they are not about your money, they are there to help you!! I identify as female, I’ve just moved here from another country and I felt so safe and comfortable with their service. All the staff members were attentive and explained everything to me in a super helpful way, no pressure just kindness!!! I would 100% recommended this place to anyone and will return! Really really wonderful service!

Ty and his crew were terrific to deal with for my older Nissan Axxess. I had a family member go in for me and while there was a bit of a delay (hoist issue), he loaned my family member a car so she could do her shopping for a few hours. Ty quoted me a fair price and that was the price, no surprise, no drama. They set such a good example of what a repair shop be like. Thank you for taking care of me and my family.

Sorry Island Muffler. You did not get my business because you quoted $700 to have a leaky exhaust flange repaired. When I went to Budget Brake and Muffler, they quoted $150 and welded on a new pipe near the muffler and fixed it for 75% less!

Had an exhaust installed on my car, was charged double compared to other places in town but I wanted to get it done that day.The exhaust fell off twice, yes twice. On the second time coming back, I was told they could not properly install it because their installer no longer worked there.So I went to Budget, they fixed the terrible install and made it perfect in under 20min.Edit to owners response: I installed a high end exhaust specifically made for my make and model. Another shop was able to fix your install in 20min, so nothing to do with parts, only the quantity of the work you provided.If you are not capable of doing the work, then maybe don't try and do it and charge a huge price.

I went in to have a muffler welded to my car. On the phone they said yes, then i arrived and they wouldn't do it as it was used. They wanted me to buy a new one of course. They quoted me $700, I laughed at them and went to budget break and muffler down the road. I would never go back.

I went to Island Muffler because my muffler pipe came loose. I asked if they would be able to repair it and they told me it was unrepairable because they would damage the pipe (which was not rusted at all) while trying to fix it. I was quoted just under $1400. I then called Budget Brake and Muffler. They were able to look at it right away and told me it was an easy fix and would cost $130. $130!!!!!! My dad has also seen Island Muffler take complete advantage of women who seem like they don't know about cars. He watched one of their technicians tell a woman the whole front end of her car needed to be replaced. My dad took a look at it because he had a feeling they weren't being honest and it turns out only her CV joints needed replacing. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place.

Tye was super helpful over the phone. Went in for brakes and ended up needing to replace all the spark plugs. The engine is running like an absolute dream now and couldn’t be happier with the service and quality of work. Thank you so much. Super happy with the result!!!
