Maison Principale

We had a wonderful experience hosting our wedding reception at Maison Principale. Exceptional decor and lighting, very friendly staff, and outstanding service from the caterer and bar. The planning process was extremely smooth as well from start to finish. We could not have asked for a more beautiful venue for our wedding celebration! Huge thanks to Gaby for all the precious help and coordination!

Both the business and their guests are incredibly disrespectful of the surrounding community. The primarily residential location does not make sense for this kind of business, and the venue and their guests have shown an unbelievable lack of class since it opened. I wouldn't recommend anyone host a wedding or other event here.

Bad citizens, they don’t care about the neighbourhood, the valets drive really fast in a school zone. Unsafe behaviours from their employees

The neighbours are very tired of this venue and especially their disrespectful valets. Every time there is an event there are speeding cars driven by their valets (yesterday I saw two on my tiny street), illegal parking/stopping, lowered visibility on corners and crosswalks, drunk drivers and other dangers to the members of our community. The venue is right next to two schools and a CPE. We are waiting until the day someone is hurt and we feel powerless to do anything.

I planned a rehearsal dinner at Maison Principal when it first opened and all I have to say is WOW! The venue is spectacular (great location), the food was delicious and the owner was such a pleasure to deal with! My clients were over the moon happy.We did cocktails in Le Mignon which was separated on 2 levels and then everyone went into the main reception room to have a nice sit down dinner. It was just perfect and I cannot wait to plan another event in this beautiful space.

The neighbours surrounding this event space are incredibly frustrated with this company. Every time there is an event, the disrespectful attendees and valets create an unsafe space for the surrounding residents. They take up all our parking spots, park in front of fire hydrants and on corners, and speed through the street. This is a residential street with a daycare and school but no measures have been taken by MP to ensure the tranquility and safety of the area. Highly do not recommend supporting a business that does nothing to ensure the good relationship between themselves and their neighbours, and the safety of the area.

Venue itself is very nice and decorative. Highly recommend for wedding less than 300 people. There isn’t a handicap access ramp however there’s an elevator on main floor. There are three floors to the venue. Last floor is more of a mezzanine. Entire venue is white and very clean. Bathroom downstairs. Washrooms are nice located downstairs. Overall really great venue!

Great space and staff made for a very fun evening. Unfortunately acoustics are poor with such a large hall. There was alot of reverb/distortion and had a hard time understanding MC if not right in front of the stage.

The most beautiful venue in Montreal!We feel very lucky to have celebrated our wedding at Maison Principal this past July. It was a fairytale. Absolutely everything about the venue was gorgeous, Azar's attention to detail is impressive!We started our venue search in May (quite late in the process) for a wedding in July. The second we passed through the doors of Maison Principal and saw the walls and the ceiling it was a done deal. Even with all the rest still in construction at that time, we were blown away by the beauty of this room and knew this was going to be the most beautiful venue in Montreal! Azar and her team must've worked day and night to get this place ready so fast, they are miracle workers! No detail was left untouched, Maison Principal does not disappoint!We used the Grand Salon for our ceremony and the reception and had the cocktail in between at Le Mignon. It created the perfect transition for the night :)Also, their in-house food and drink catering was the best we ever tasted! Truly delicious and outstanding service!We couldn't be happier with how our wedding turned out <3We highly recommend Maison Principal !
