I’m here to share a disheartened story about my dad, who is a new immigrant and he speaks little English. The whole family unfortunately got Covid and the doctor prescribed drugs for him to take. I came to the pharmacy one day prior to order the drugs and registered my dads profile. The pharmacy told me that we can pick up his medication next few days. My dad went the next day to pick up his medication because I was really sick the next day, and he was mistreated by the staff - staff started to question him why he is indoors if he has Covid. And he called me for help but staff refused to take his phone, which creates a whole other issue. First of all, Remember this is a person who doesn’t speak English. Second, he is wearing a mask and try to keep social distancing. Third, in no instruction did staff give us previously that we can’t pick up medication indoors - plus it is really difficult to cooperate a car pick up with someone who doesn’t speak English :( just imaging u r in a foreign country and someone ask u to do that. This experience makes my dad feeling that he was discriminated against. And This whole process reflects a lack of cooperation between teams, as I’ve already communicated every details the day prior, and they failed to keep track of the medication records. Most disappointingly, this system is absolutely not prepared for new immigrants, especially someone doesn’t know about the system, or they don’t speak fluently English. Staff needs to be trained in Equity, Diversity, and inclusivity. The system should also be enhanced to endorse these values. I don’t hope to see another immigrant family be mistreated like this in the future.

On 23 Dec 22, tried to call to get an update only prescription i.e. is it ready for pick-up. Called three times between 0915 and 1000 with my last time on hold for 42 minutes. This was not the first time for this type of service....they need to get organized and understand customer service. With their sell prices increasing, why is it that customer service at the Pharmacy is going down.

Absolutely impossible to get ahold of anyone. They left a message about my elderly father's prescription and asked for a callback to answer a question. It took several calls, waiting on hold for an excessive amount of time before anyone picked up. Definitely moving the prescriptions to another pharmacy.

This Shoppers Drug Mart store is nice and clean and has a nice cosmetics and perfume section.The cosmetics and perfume section has a variety of good products and shampoo and skin care aisle have a variety of options to choose from.There are a lot of parking spots available in front of the store, too.

The absolute worst pharmacy. Staff is rude, keep chatting instead of helping customers. you’re better off driving to Toronto and back then getting service here. Always a huge line up and staff just stands around.

This SDM is great for cosmetics, perfumes etc. That department is great. Pharmacy however, is terrible. They NEVER pick up the phone and leave you on hold for ages. I have given up calling the pharmacy to ask if my medicine is ready/available. They really should do better. Customer service is really lacking.

Visited this shoppers at 10:20 pm on 31/8 to get help for bandage required for a knee surgery. Surgeon had recommended that a pharmacist should be able to help.Came to this shoppers. Pharmacist here did not only have answer to the question, told me that they don’t have a similar bandage and can’t recommend anything.After spending 15 mins and going through all bandages and instructions I found the right bandage.Went back just to inform him that they do carry the right bandage. He answered excessively rude and said I have other things to do. I have added photos for people who might be looking for the right size. Shoppers does carry it, just don’t ask this over qualified pharmacist

Pharmacy is terrible. Staff put zero effort into helping people, are never bothered to answer the phone when there are zero customers inside. And it's not even like they are understaffed. There can be 6 people working in pharmacy and no one is bothered to do anything. Get a new hiring manager.

If I could tell you to shut down this shoppers I would but unfortunately I know how unrealistic that is if you can take your medication anywhere else I advise you to do so at this is the worst location I’ve ever dealt with and the pharmacist are very rude don’t care to understand your situation and also refuse to give you any of support of help when asking about a prescription this is literally their job…. They’re very insulting and disrespectful on a whole other level
