I wrote the C16 and I had two questions that are not in the book at all. Two questions out of 22. That make the difference on my result. I emailed the Insurance Institute of Canada on September 01, 2020 and had no answer yet. How long this gonna take? I need an answer.

The virtual courses are great. Would definitely recommend for people who prefer structure. The books were delivered to me in 2 days so I was pretty happy about the service provided.

I believe the Insurance Institute is gouging individuals and extorting money from them.I have to rewrite an exam for a self-study course that I failed. The Insurance Institute is charging a course fee of $380.00 + HST and $295 + HST for the exam fee for a total of $762.This is a self -study course which I took and failed. I simply have to rewrite the exam.I have my books already and do not require assistance from any instructor.I asked for an explanation as to why I have to fork over $380 + HST ($429.) to the Institute in order to be able to write the exam when a fee of $295 is already required for the exam however I cannot get a valid answer from anyone.I can understand the need to charge the $295 however I fail to understand the need to gouge individuals such as myself who need the money to buy groceries for their children.I believe this practice borders on extortionI asked for the $429 fee be waived for me so that I can write the exam however insist on extorting $429 before I can pay the $295 exam fee.

I actually felt more comfortable writing the exam here on a computer than at the creepy Dundas west location ...now if only they could make the exams more fair...they have the most random questions that don't really test your knowledge but rather your ability to spit out information verbatim!

They should make the study material much better with videos so that student can understand. Its a good money making business nothing else. Its just like goverment organisation and making good salary hence they donnt care general public feedback.Insurance is great subject but IIC makes it horrible as they use only jargons so that student cannt understand and they failed in the exam and they will make money again and again.

It's a challenging and very intense course be prepared to push yourself more than you usually do, take a s much notes as possible because they will come in handy. Jenessa really breaks down the material in a way that is understandable and pretty much the areas she highlighted were on the exam

This one star review if for their slow shipment service. I ordered a kit from this institute, they delayed 10 days to do the ship job! So, it will take 12 days, 2 whole weeks you could get your books!

WARNING! If you are looking to use their services for exams, LOOK SOMEWHERE ELSE! I took the RIBO Exam Level 1 and passed - paid around $250. After some time, as I was preparing my paper works for the brokerage that was going to hire me, I couldn't access my results. They are asking me for another $103 (membership) only to view the result of the exam that I already paid for. This is extortion! I heard, other institution doesn't require membership for exam results so go look somewhere else and don't fall for this SCAM!
