St. Emily Catholic Elementary School

this school is like among us except everyone is the impostor and you're the only crewmate. literally worse than getting run over by an 18-wheeler doused in acid with semi-automatic rifles constantly shooting you in the head

Always asking for fundraiser to but more busses, but then the money just seems to disappear. One year the teachers had a pool table in the staff room. In that year we didn't have any computers except the ones in the library from like 1890. Not to mention the extreme amounts of sexism, if you have phone out (and ur a boy) and a girl has her phone out, then your phone gets taken away, no questions asked. Some of the teachers were really good, like my grade 5 teacher and my grade 8 math teacher . but that is the only nice things i really need to say about this school. Long story short, you may like it in the beginning but then it will get worse and worse, but that's just my experience.

This school is actually north korea. They ban every website. They started blocking websites that me and my classmates go on. We go on twitch they block it, we go on we FUT they block it, we go on genuis, They block it, we tested if they blocked treehouse A KIDS WEBSITE and they block it. All of these websites were also recently blocked too so its not like they blocked it before, It was blocked when the searches for these things went up. They ban so much things so i guess kim jong un has some competition . They ban balls in the morning, they steal your phone because they cant afford their own so if they could they would keep ur phone. Almost every teacher is bad because their unsatisified with their lives so they have to inflict grief onto the kids like sorry ur life sucks dont take it out on the kids. I hate the phone stealing thing. They say its confiscating but its not its stealing. They mainly dont let us go on our phones cuz they think we are going to take pictures or something. no one does that. No one. We usually go on our phones to listen to music play a two minute game ect. (at recess not in class) Then if some teacher catches u with the phone they steal it and bring it to the office. And they think they are heroes cuz they took a phone that belongs to a kid 3 decades olders phone away and brining it to the office. Then they bring it to the office for the parents to pick them up because they think the parents care. Like not even parents care if u get ur phone stolen by a teacher and i know by expreience. In conclusion, if u want to go to north korea but u cant afford it, come here.

School is not equipped to handle bullying effectively. Teachers are sub-par and do not set students for success. They would rather have a student become independent starting grade 3 than slowly transitioning them in. Principal, vice-principals and teachers find it acceptable for students to have level 1 & level 2 because as they say: everybody passes in elementary school". There is a high turnover of vice-principals as on average they stay 6 months and then leave. The York Region school board should go into this school monitor and inspect and make serious adjustments. Was an ok school. When I was being bullied in 6th grade I told the teacher and they told me there was nothing then can do unless she puts her hands on me. This later on in life led onto some emotional trauma but needless to say I made some of my best friends there and even though the teachers weren’t the best part I did enjoy the laughs I had.

Its ok, i have been in this school for a while and about to finish but there are some bad teacher who cause stress and few good ones, but other than that i have had a lot of fun here

They make you sit in a crowded gym, and when I'm already squished and I can't feel my legs, they expect me to move up like it's so easy meanwhile he have chairs so they don't know how not being able to feel your legs. My friend broke his toe nail and it started bleeding because of the stupid gym. Winters suck as they don't salt the schoolyards so they expect the sun to thaw it so we end up staying in most of the time also when its freezing cold and its very windy we get in trouble for staying inside but I love how the teachers stay inside so they have no idea what it feels like. When winter is finally over, you have to deal with the school being afraid of balls. Want to know why? Because for a short period of time, they said that we could only have 1 ball per class. How would that even work And it just caused arguments in my class. This year they banned SOCCER BALLS now you can only have basketballs. So if no one lets me play basketball, there is no soccer balls or any other balls alowed, and if you get caught inside some grumpy teacher will yell at you for no reason. WHAT ELSE AM I SUPPOSED TO DO?!!!! Also, I think winning prizes is rigged so that only young classes win stuff. I know this because, we had some bingo carnival hing where they call out numbers everyday. On Friday a winner is picked and of course a little kid class won. When there was competition for a pizza party litttle kids won. And when I was a little kid I won. Also the school is alergic to phones. They don't let you have your phone out even before school hours. My friend got his phone taken away for texting his mom. What if his mom was injured. They just took away their only way of contacting. I hate most of the teachers. Only a few of them support people and I've had only 2 supportive teachers. The rest either give you a hard time because you aren't a teachers pet or because of your gender. (Girls have it easier) One of my teachers was so favourable over the girls that they could get away with having phones but I can't.I can't wait for high school.

Just here to say that's it's pretty pathetic that there's so many people ripping on the school, I went here from JK all the way to grade 8 and can honestly say I've had a lot of good memories and made some life long friends along the way. Also in the 10 Years that I went there bullying was never a problem and we actually had assemblies about how bullying is bad quite frequently so I don't seem to understand why everyone seems to have a problem with bullying". Also the teachers are not bad in fact I've had a lot of teachers throughout the years that made my time in the school quote enjoyable. I was school president in grade 8 and I've dealt with almost everything the school goes through and from experience I can honestly say that my years here were unforgettable and definitely very enjoyable. Pretty sad to see a lot of people ripping the school for bullying as in the 10 Years I went to the school I never once experienced bullying."

this school barely allows anything, the fundraisers are all for the principle. Each grade has a soccer day, and the field is used only with the grade 8s, and 9s.
