GEOS Languages Plus Calgary

I had an amazing exprience from Geos for 3 months. Every staff is all kind,nice, friendly and always welcomed me when I came through the entrance everytime lol. I made lots of outgoing friends who enjoy activities a lot. Of course all teachers are good. I met my best english teacher in my life. He is willing to help my english assignments from college even after I graduated from there. I studied Ielts there and I got the scores I needed in 3months thanks to Geos. After I got my scores though I didn't even need to go to language school anymore I re-registered for a month just to enjoy the class learning english without being serious. Haha. I love Geos. I mean it :)

Booked my IELTS test with them, got an email a couple of weeks before the test date to say they are shutting down the IELTS portion of their business. They still have my money. They do not respond to calls or emails. I can’t progress my visa application without IELTS test results and I don’t have a spare $300 floating around. Pretty sure this is theft to be honest.

Geos Calgary is the best language institute in town. The staff and the teachers are professionals and love their jobs, making us love English. I have been here for 7 months and this is the best experience of my life. I absolutely recommend this school.THANK YOU GEOS CALGARY FOR EVERYTHING!!!!! :)

This is the worst place to take your exam. I have booked an IELTS exam and wanna cancel it, but they are not responding my calls and my emails. Its like a fraud, if you like to keep your money, don't ever book any exam here.

My 13 year old sister stayed with the host family organized by Geos. It was agreed that 3 meals a day were included in the cost. The host family did not give her breakfast or lunch. On her last day the host family was supposed to contact me when my sister was leaving so that I could be at the train station in time to pick her up. They made no attempt to notify me and my sister ended up waiting at a downtown train station for over an hour. For a 13 year old girl that can't speak English this is a big safety risk. We're lucky she managed to find her way back okay.GEOS has been unsympathetic and unhelpful in trying to make things right. I would not consider using them again.

It is unfortunate that the EILTS trusted in this terrible school. Disgusting attitude towards customers. The system for raising funds failed, and the administrator did not consider it necessary to sort out and return the money. Rudeness! EILTS guide pay attention to this school, they dishonor your rating, choose another representative for yourself. I do not recommend !!!

Nice atmosphere in school, polite people but if you need to prepeare for exam it is not enough. Can recommend this school if you need it for fun, but if you need to learn English and to be ready to pass English test for immigration/study/work better to find more serious school. I had 1 month school there (3 hrs twice a week) and can say that it was waste of the money and time, I was able to prepare home much better. Hopefully I realise early that school doesn’t work, teacher at this school make you more confused and you can follow wrong way in understanding of exam. So please be carefull as you can get into the trap and chance to get a low score and fail an exam will be pretty high in this case. For me it was important to get high score on the English test so I am very disappointed with my slection of this school, I should looked at some more professional schools. I trusted good reviews but looks like I shouldn’t. It was a lesson for me, that I won’t forget. With this review I don’t want to afend anyone but I hope it can help other people who is looking for serious preparation like me.

Studying at this school was one of the best experiences that i have had. The teachers are very professional and the staff very helpful. i needed english for my work, and i started from zero. Now i feel I can speak very well with my clients and i am very happy for that. Also i made very good friends at the school. It was a great experience!

Hi,I took 7 evening classes(roughly 14 hrs) here in Ms. Edwina's class and gave exams on 2nd April. My results are out now and I got a 7.5 band score in my first attempt. When I started my training here, I even did not know the structure of IELTS exam and she helped me with her PROVEN strategies and techniques to achieve my score. Thanks Geos and Thanks Ms. Edwina; I am planning to come and meet you there by end of this month..

Exam centre is good, staff are friendly. At the same time, NOT RECOMMENDED FOR IELTS EXAM as you may face different examiners with completely different scoring! For example in 2 weeks, you may receive 8 in one speaking and 6 or less in the other (based on several examinees experiences). Some examiners pretend to be poker face, cut your conversation and very hard to communicate with! The speaking test for IELTS is designed based on two way communications, not throwing unrelated broken questions and scoring based on your personal view and interest other than professional scoring practice.
