We had an amazing visit. The facility is great and well maintained. The kids loved the pool, the water was perfect and warm. The pool was extremely well staffed with attentive life guards. Definitely big appreciation for the staff, they were all so nice and attentive, extremely professional and polite (not what we've typically experienced in other rec centres in Halifax).

Great updated facility with ample parking, huge gym, and two pools, one warm shallow pool great for children and one large pool with a few slides, great for youth. Also has a few amazing basketball courts. Reasonable rates for memberships and drop ins.

What a renovation. It’s absolutely gorgeous in here. The fitness centre provides serene views from all angles, pools for all ages and abilities, and I believe they even have a walking/track around the hockey rink that is great for winter running and walking. I learned how to swim here as a kid and 20 years later I’m so happy to see the transformation

This is definitely a large sportsplex which you got multiple choices on sports. You can access the pools, the rink and several types of gyms such as the big weight room. There are nice and enthusiastic staff to assist you. They are generous to lend you most related equipments which there is room for it. In addition, it's free to access the large indoor track and field lanes on Monday, Tuesday, Saturday and Sunday there. Joggers would have more options to go. Overall, It's really a good place to bring your family there for fitness.

Recommend bringing your own lock. Their system took 2 of my loonies and I couldn’t lock my stuff so lost out on swimming. Too shady to leave stuff unlocked . What a waste.

That was my second visit after renovation: election pole was in past.Staff was friendly and made the visit more enjoyable.I was really surprised to see the new interior, changing rooms, lockers, free weight area and swimming pool itself.Considering switching from GoodLife fitness: after all the presence the swimming pool is a great benefit especially in winter time here in Canada

Used to love this place but honestly, I’ve never seen so many things “out of order”, and for so long. Machines, showers, changing stalls (pretty much everything). Some things have been broken for quite literally a year. No exaggeration. It’s extremely disappointing; and some things aren’t even that complicated. A lock is broken on a shower door, and it’s been a year without it fixed. If you contact the sportsplex they just don’t respond, and yet their prices are going up too. It’s just sad. If it weren’t for the pool, I would never come here.

Clean, quiet, tons of machines and lots of space. Way nicer and more open than any gym I've gone to. Most gyms I feel packed in like sardines. Zatzman feels very open with plenty of room

Signed daughter up for swim lessons for the first time at Zatmans. I've found it very busy and high student to instructor ratios. So far a little concerned with this ratio. As far as the building goes, it is very nice as there is a gym (s), large hockey rink, massive pool with slide and many other available facilities. It's a great place to bring a family, however, be mindful of when you go as it gets very busy at night and on the weekends.

First time visiting since the renovations and Holy moly the place looks amazing! Just visited the pool, but I can only imagine what the rest of the facility looks like. Everything is modern and clean. I'll definitely be back for a few more swims. Staff were all friendly and helpful!
