Quoted “about $100, max $130” to fix a fuel leak by replacing rusty lines. Charged $125, only found out AFTER paying that the incompetent mechanic (who barely spoke English) only made the fuel leak 50x worse and ripped off all brackets & supports (damaging the brake lines, see update) leaving all fuel & brake lines dangling, and stuck on 3” of rubber hose - NO new lines at all! Told it would cost ANOTHER $125 to actually fix the problem, that they made 50x worse, can barely drive anywhere now, literally see gas gauge dropping, lost about $30 in gas so far.Jason wasn’t working this day, I really hope he can fix this properly, especially considering him AND the incompetent mechanic both inspected the fuel leaks the day before on their lift.Update: We called to complain the next day, and eventually a different mechanic (competent and English fluent) did finally replace the rusted lines (like was supposed to have been done the day before). I think the biggest problem was the first incompetent mechanic (not only having no clue how to work on anything rusty without damaging it worse) could barely understand English, and couldn’t even communicate effectively with the front office woman - she thought he actually changed one line the first day (but he didn’t & only damaged & half patched), and he thought she said we had to leave early (he was done a good half hour before closing time). It’s shocking that guy is trusted with anything beyond oil changes.Only now we’re left with a brand new BRAKE LEAK, thanks to the first incompetent mechanic ripping off the old support brackets without even using any oil or WD-40 (I received the old parts back, they were completely dry and dusty, and he broke off some bolts too) when he left us to drive home with the lines unsupported and bouncing the day before. Probably lost $40-$50 in gas driving home and back, and it was a miracle nothing caught on fire while driving with gas literally pouring out. I didn’t even mention the new brake leak and just wanted to leave, I can fix the brake line myself. I would’ve changed the fuel lines myself too (and would have been careful not to damage the brakes or support brackets) but ironically didn’t want to spill gas everywhere, and that’s exactly what happened anyway.

Jason and his team at J&J are incredible to say the least. I’ve been taking my vehicle there for years now and have always had the best professional experience! They have fair prices and are always honest about repairs and issues with my vehicle. Jason is also great at explaining the mechanics to me so I can understand what’s happening with my vehicle. He is and will always be my go to mechanic! Highly recommend J&J to anyone!

Great service!!! Honest and reliable! I came in for a tire change, they also change the oil and filters by mistake so they did not charge for it. I offered to pay and they would not take my money. Truly the honest fix…Thank you Jason.

We have used J & J Autoworks for years. They have always been more than fair and reasonable. I recently took my sons car to another repair shop to repair a stalling/idling problem. We have known the owner for years so thought it might save him some money. He charged us $350.00 and replaced a bunch of parts. Called us to say it is still stalling and we could buy a part(that wasn't available locally) online, and install it, and that should fix the problem. Another $100 and some time to install and it still didn't fix the problem. We were at a loss. We called J&J and they told us to bring it in. They called me within an hour to say they knew what the problem was and only charged us $150 and the car has been fixed! Live and learn! They will always be my first choice in the future. Its very rare to find a true honest and fair dealership. Thank you Jason!

After 2 horrifying years of trying different mechanics in Edmonton after a move from Saskatchewan (and a lot of wasted money), I have finally found who I’ve been looking for in J and J Autoworks.Jason and his team are incredible. They are always so helpful and kind. Jason will take the time to explain everything that needs to be done and why. That “why” is very important because it seems that there are a lot of dishonest shops out there in 2021. The guys all wear shirts that say “the honest fix” on the back, and that couldn’t be anymore truthful.The other thing is that he will then tell you what to listen and watch for when it comes to your vehicle. He is able to tell when something is potentially going to fail later down the road so that you don’t have to pay a huge amount at one time when you are not prepared for it. That has given me so much peace of mind, and I am always mindful to listen for the sounds that he told me to listen for, because that means I have to come back and get it fixed before it gets worse.They are also very understanding that “sh*t happens”. Jason has always been accommodating and respectful when I am honest about my situation regarding money.The amount of time it takes them to fix something in comparison to other places, is also amazing. I have never been left without a vehicle for longer than a day or two (except for one time when I had a breakdown and I wasn’t scheduled to come in, which I totally understand!)In terms of cost, they will call you anytime they need to get a part or spend any more money on labour than you agreed opinion. That’s important because on more than one occasion at other shops, I have shown up to pick up my vehicle and been confronted with a massive bill that I cannot afford. They source parts that are reasonably priced and they are not looking to gouge anyone when it’s time to pay the bill.In fact, the last time I was here, Jason actually apologized to me because there were a few things beyond his control that had to be fixed and he felt bad about that. I had no problem paying because I knew it meant my vehicle was sound and I was safe.I appreciate that Jason is honest and just a regular dude. He reminds me of my dad when he starts to explain how vehicles work; very patient and extremely knowledgeable. For people like me who know next to nothing about vehicles, this is so so important!I will never go anywhere else, and I’ve given out a lot of their cards in the last few months!Thank you Jason and your team! The first time I went to J&J auto I had to have a front bumper replaced. They quoted me $500 less then other places. The job was done quick.amd looked.great - no issues with it since. I recently had other issues - my car is 10 years old. I told them the symptoms and they fixed it quickly and efficiently. I feel safe to.drice the highway again.

This place is a hidden gem!! I went in to get my right axle repaired. Toyota quoted me at almost $1200 for parts and labour. J&J quoted my parts and labour at around $300??? I was blown away! I will never take my car to a dealership again! Loved the professional service and honesty I recieved at J&J's. You cannot beat there pricing!! This place is a God send!- Henry B.

Jason, Jenna and the techs have been very kind since I found them last year. Their prices are lower than dealers and shops. I find their honesty about work that needs to done or not very refreshing. I have recommended J&J to friends and family and will continue to do so.
