A hidden gem in Verdun which serves authentic Chinese cuisine including dim sum, wok dishes, fired rice and noodles. Staff are friendly and the environment is clean. Price is reasonable. Good value for money.

Chef Tang is a great addition in Verdun for quality Chinese food (Chinatown quality).The price is fair, portions are more than enough and the staff is friendly.Salt and pepper pork chops, Cantonese chow Mein and the fried rice are fantastic.Their Dim Sum options are also fantastic.A go to Chinese food spot with awesome taste.

Chef Tang is definitely a MUST TRY if you're in Montreal. We were searching for a Chinese restaurant and stumbled across this impressive hidden gem in Verdun. Upon entering the restaurant, we were greeted by their lovely staff. They have a wide variety of options in their menu, and we were pleasantly surprised to see that they also served All-Day Dim Sum! The service and the food was amazing. We can tell the chefs puts a lot of effort into their menu, because the presentation and flavors of each dish was incredible. They even have a bubble tea shop inside their restaurant! We're definitely coming back

First time, I ordered takeout after work (I was in the area). Very good. Today I dined in since I stayed at a friends place nearby. Food is very good, the waitress was excellent. My family owns a Chinese/Thai/Dim sum restaurant (Tong Por) so I grew up with this kind of food and always have high expectation. It did not disappoint at all. I recommend!!I also ordered a lot “to-go” to bring home to my dad. I honestly ordered so much, it would take us 2-3 days to eat it all, and it was only about 86$.

Oh Chef Tang!!! I love you! Thank you for honest dishes with decent pricing! Its been a almost two years I am in the neighbourhood and never tried it. So I got it delivered through Doordash, service was super fast , portion is excellent , the chef tang chicken sauce is addictive!!! I am looking forward to try all the menu!

**Updated**The service has been on point the last few times that I have ordered from them. Give them a try!*****All the food and drinks were really good. Ready at indicated time.Wonton soup was very tasty. Salt and pepper chicken is a definite ‘order again’.Only one issue was that I asked for half the amount of sweetness in the bubble tea and it was extremely sweet. Next time I will make sure to add a message in the comments; because I will definitely be ordering again!

Not exactly sure why they call this « Chinese food ». Confused by the Kung Pao chicken. The chicken had some orange tan on it And was bland AF. The Hunan beef was nothing like Hunan beef. Generic tasting and zero spice. The Shrimp with vegetable was shrimp with a mountain of broccoli. The shrimp was good by itself. All this mess I paid almost 100$ for.The rice was the best dish. Says a lot.Never again, don’t be fooled, an unmitigated disaster.

We ordered on Uber eats and we haven’t been disappointed. The food is good and the portions are fair. We had the Shanghai noodles, the orange beef , the won ton soup and a few snacks. We enjoyed most of what we had but the soup was a bit tasteless. The orange chicken was good but I wished we knew it was coming without rice so that makes the price a bit high. We give it 3,5/5.
