The Broken Gavel
There's so many great items on the menu, it's difficult to decide on just one. A friend started with the Gallery salad ($7 for the small), which is mixed greens with warm peameal bacon, carmalized onions, bocconcini, oregano oil baked tomatoes, and Italian dressing. I had the Bench ($8 small) which is baby spinach with strawberries, slivered almonds, goats cheese and balsamic vinaigrette. They were both amazing and come in a large size as well. We both had the soup of the day, which was also great. Finally, we split an order of the homemade macaroni, elbow noodles in cheesy cream sauce to order, done our way or yours topped with bread crumbs and baked, served with fresh bread and sautéed vegetables. We chose the Bacon Cheese Burger ($14), which came with ground chuck, bacon and tomato. Service was also impeccable. This place is not to be missed.

Everything we ordered was amazing. I’m not a Mac and cheese kinda guy but I ordered the lobster and crab Mac and cheese and it was to die for. Large portions. We had a lot of left overs.

Great service. Menu is delightful with lots of options to choose from. The mile high burgers are unique in name and flavor!

The food was delicious, affordable, and the portions very generous. The Broken Gavel has a cozy and comfortable vibe, but you must make a reservation in advance to get a table and it's a popular place so call in advance. Looking forward to our next visit!

Amazing owners and awesome food! Cozy and quaint little gem of a place. A great menu with lots of variety. With the large portions you won't leave hungry!

Takeout from the Broken Gavel did not disappoint! We got the 'Castros Choice' pulled pork sandwich and two orders of Mac n' Cheese, and they were all phenomenal. Food was hot, ready on time, and staff were super nice.

Busy little restaurant. I had a fish sandwich and it was delicious. It came with fries, but I belive alternatives are available. Friday evening seemed busy, so if you are planning on heading there for friday or Saturday make reservations.

You get exactly one and a half hours to eat your dinner before the waitress comes to get your tab paid. I had a very chewy beaf sandwich with a Caesar salad with a hint of Parmesan.Don’t waste your money.
