Wentworth-Halton X-Ray and Ultrasound Inc

I wish I could give no stars. Absolutely horrible experience with unethical and unprofessional technicians.I arrived for my appointment that was requested by my doctor. The technician (I believe her name is Shayna) looked at me and refused to perform the ultrasound (although I had a requisition form). She was extremely rude and said “you’re too early, I don’t know what you expect me to do”. I pushed for it and thankfully I did, she was immediately quite while performing the ultrasound and told me she would mark it as urgent. I had to go to the hospital the same night for treatment and I wouldn’t have been able to get the care that I needed if I hadn’t pushed for the ultrasound she was supposed to perform to begin with.

This has to be most considerate lab staff I have ever dealt with. They are very prompt and efficient too. Every lab that I called post-COVID was swamped and turning away patients. This lab is very busy too, but they took down my number and called me back when they had an opening. I was able to get a bone density done for my wife and my mother in recent weeks. It is impossible to get an appointment anywhere else. Today my daughter came down from Waterloo to get her ultrasound done here. They are the best!

I see there are some concerns in the reviews. For me, I'm delighted with my appointment. The time for any medical tests is extremely fragile at the moment. When I called to book my appointment for a bone density scan, there was no available time and they weren't ready to book June yet. The person who I spoke with assured me she would call if she got an opening. Sure enough she did. She then followed up with me three times to make sure I had the appointment in my calendar. When I went in for my appointment, I forgot my requisition sheet (dah!). Not a problem. The girl at the desk patiently asked me to take a seat, she called my Dr. and had the requisition faxed to her. From the first phone call to the technician who did my scan, first class, friendly and helpful service.

Being someone who is on a path to healing I don’t recommend coming here unless you are comfortable dealing with abrasive front desks people that treat you like a burden. They should instead treat you as you are, a human being. A human being who is trying to find a solution for a medical issue that they are enduring.I was running late because of parking issues. I called from the parking lot to inform them. When I got to the desk I mentioned that I called and she asked me if the technician knew, as if that would be knowledge I could acquire prior to entering the building. The lack of communication between peers is not the customers responsibility. I over heard her talking about me saying “apparently she called” moments later I heard someone else ask if I had arrived yet as I had called to let them know. The two appointments after me also came late as the area around the building is under construction. All in all I was ten minutes late entering their offices. By the time they called me over it was 15. By the time she called my doctors office to check on the requisition she told them I was 20 minutes late. Not that we were behind. Her exact words were “she’s already 20 minutes late”. Being a person who isn’t often late I found this offensive that she was squandering my reputation with my other heath care practitioner. I have respect for others time but at the end of the day lateness happens to all and I hope no one treats her as she treated me when it happens to her.My sympathies go to the technicians who seemed nice enough but whom I could barely interact with as I was trying not to cry after my front desk interaction.I don’t usually post reviews but as this can be a sensitive time for people I wanted to share my experience as I did not feel safe. Instead of receiving help I received hurt. Most of which comes from a place of disappointment in our fellow human beings lack of compassion and understanding.I have a second ultra sound to do which I was planning on making an appointment while I’m there but I’ll drive to Hamilton instead.

I’m soooooo happy with my experience here! This clinic went above and beyond for me. Backstory, I was supposed to have my 18-20 week anatomy scan back in December at a GNMI clinic. They cancelled on me the day of and rebooked for January when I was already past 20 weeks. They ended up cancelling on me again the day of! I called around and this clinic was able to get me an appointment for the next business day (everywhere else was booking into February now!). The staff here are sooo pleasant and patient. Unfortunately the GNMI clinic didn’t fax my requisition form over like they said they had, and this clinic helped me to get a new one faxed from my doctor. They seriously went above and beyond. The tech was sooo sweet too and made me feel comfortable. She showed my fiancé and I our baby and all the little features, we even got to see a yawn! I would definitely book here again and recommend to others!! Thank you so much for your help!

Awesome staff, I ended up here after going to another location to find they no longer did x-rays and were closed for lunch. The receptionist I dealt with was awesome super patient my requisition wasn't signed by my doctor she called them and got it dealt with. The XRay tech was great as well explained everything happening to me. The whole thing took less than half an hour for a walk in appointment!

Staff is always friendly and willing to help.I admire Went Worth services. Even booking an appointment by phone they are great. The only down side is that they don’t print gestational ultrasound, but they let me take pics of the screen.

Rude person answered the phone, kept me on hold for 5 minutes, no apology for the wait. Refused to book test, would only wait list. When I asked for an explanation she hung up on me.

I had my 12 week ultrasound here (Brant St location) and could not have had a better experience! The reception desk was friendly and welcoming and I was called in for my appointment right on time. The ultrasound technician, Shehina, was incredible. She immediately let me know that baby looked good which was comforting. Although baby was not cooperating for the imaging, she remained positive and maintained her sense of humour until she was able to get the image. I wish all ultrasound techs could be like her! She was a ray of sunshine and made my visit even more enjoyable than expected!

I got an appointment really quickly, then dealt with the nicest staff. I forgot to bring my paperwork with me and the ladies there helped me out and called my OBs office to get the paperwork sent to them. I really appreciated the extra effort they put in especially considering the error was on my part and my OBs office was less then helpful in the situation. Thank you!
