This venue greatly depends on the dj’s and events hosted. The venue itself has a good layout, with seating areas along the side the dance floor central with a strange for performers, and a balcony with couches for those who want a little break. The washrooms are fairly clean despite the large usage. The first set I went to here was about 1 year ago today. There was still a no dance policy outside of the group you came with, and the dj was quite bad. The bar only takes credit or cash, and the atm malfunctioned which meant us having to wait an extra 45mins for the owner to come fix the machine for us to pay. The most recent event I attended was much more lively and the performers and dj’s were great. The bouncers were nice as well. So my recommendation would be choose your night wisely and know who you are going to listen to before risking a bad night

The sound tech in one of the bar events was violent and rude towards the artists. I have no words. Never been there and never going too. Many people complained about this guy and the bar did nothing to help. You can’t treat people like trash bags and expect them to treat you with respect.

Attended a concert here. The show was great, the venue is okay. Mandatory coat check, enforced by the bouncers which seemed like a cash grab (I was wearing a zip up sweater). Also paid $18 for a double highball which wasn't super ideal.

We went to this club on the night of July 17, 2021. We were kept seated at our table for 1.5 hours without serving anything that we ordered while everyone else who came before and after us got theirs and more. When I asked the server, she turned me down saying 'I can't do anything and can't remember everything'. Yes, it was a busy night but she and the other servers walked past our tables at least 10 times and had eye contact with us multiple times. We even went to them at the bar a couple of time just to ask when they would be able to serve us our drinks but to no avail. Left the club after that unpleasant interaction with the server. If you are not white and/or not French, don't go to this club because it sure felt like something was up with the servers. We never had this type of horrible experience in Canada anywhere else. The experience was so horrible that we stopped going to Montreal altogether.

The sound guy is aggressive towards the public and the artists. Everytime I worked theres I noticed how violent he is towards everyone, going so far as physically assaulting an artist in the middle of the show because the public moved a speaker. This is not professionnal, not safe, and I hope the Belmont will take action because this is unacceptable.

Intimate show venue in the Plateau. This venue creates a nice environment for smaller shows but it’s size can make it feel packed and hard to move around as there can be a few things that block your view especially from upstairs on the balcony. Overall, good spot! Service at the bar and table service were great even if it was busy!

I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy. The coat check girls are the worst type of people. I gave them my ticket and they said I had to wait until new people had entered before they gave me my coat. I waited 1h30 before I had to raise my voice about how I wanted to leave and that I needed my coat as it was -15c weather. They told me I had to wait until they closed at 3am. Which was 2 hours away... When I asked them why they wouldn't give me my coat, they said they simply didn't like me. Because I had a bad attitude.... All I did was ask for my coat. I gave my number, I showed them a picture of the coat, I waited, and they said they didn't feel like giving me my coat." they said "What are you going to do about it". I hope the people here feel ashamed. At least 8 employees saw the situation

The dj of Friday ,November 27 that started at 00:00 is soooooooooooo bad , he used the same track for an hour , it was a simple nightmare , a pain for ears, an insult for night clubs , a party disappointment . The one before him with the hat was awesome. But the second, I bet he never used a dj set before . For the love of electronic music don't let that guy get his hands on a dj set ever !!! An advise son , go to Ibiza, UMF, EDC whatever but please , leave the kids alone !

Make sure to count the change the reception girl gives back, the entrance was 30$ for two people and I gave her 40$, she gave back 2.50$. Sad to see this place go down because of dishonest people working there..
