Best store in Toronto for finding great fun gifts for family and friends through the year! I’ve never been let down when desperate to find that right thing for the inevitable unexpected birthday party…And such a trendy neighbourhood the store is located in as well :)

Such a lovely shop! Went in for the first time to look for a birthday card and picked up the perfect find. Got swept up looking through the beautiful, unique and fun array of other gifts and more. Will be sure to come back soon!

Best shop for unique and quirky gifts! Always my first stop for greeting cards (they have some extremely niche and Toronto-specific cards). Small but very well stocked and has never done me wrong.

My family ordered a card from here for my birthday. The store then sent me the receipts for the card including a picture of the card before it even arrived. When my Mum complained about the fact that the image is included in the emails and ruined the surprise they then responded in a really patronising way saying If you've ever used the internet before". They also tried to pin the blame on me instead for only forwarding the email in which the card is revealed. It is not my fault that you can't use some common sense in your line of business and not reveal something to an email that has the same name as the person the card is meant for. Very rude and unprofessional response. You should not be speaking to your customers that way. Do better."

I loved this store. So many adorable nick nacks. I especially loved the wide assortment of body part pillows. We have a place similar where I’m from and they didn’t have half as much selection as this place! I also really loved the jellycat stuffed animals! The staff was super friendly.

I've been looking for my favorite perfume that Sephora stopped carrying (it's called Tokyo Milk) for literally 5 years, so I was so happy to see it on Outer Layer's website. I stopped by the shop and it was super cute and I found the perfume! The staff is also very friendly and the shop has so many random gifts, it's great if you're ever looking to gift something but don't know what to get!

Wow! This was the best customer service I have had! I wanted to add more things to my order and get it shipped instead of picking up in store, and it was a seamless process. They are so quick and so personable, I could not recommend this store enough. I am happy to have found this cute shop and will continue to support! Great selection of Jellycats!

I love the collection of items this place sells! Very tongue in cheek! You need to be willing & able to deal with that kind of humor. If that makes you uncomfortable, then maybe don't go. But for everyone who likes that kind of thing; this is a fantastic place, to check out at Least once a year! (Or more often if you live nearby!)

There are so many Demeter colognes here! I spent about 15 minutes going through them all and the staff didn't mind at all (I eventually bought Salt Air). They also have a ton of cute knick knacks and jewelry. It's a great place for buying gifts.
