Shoppers Drug Mart

i pick up my prescriptions here while i’m at university and i’ve been trying for 2 weeks now to transfer new prescriptions from the shoppers drug mart in my hometown and they are sent the transfer yet don’t receive it when i’ve been calling them - which i shouldn’t really have to do as they should have called me when they got the transfer in… luckily i was calling ahead of time before i needed my medication but now they say they have it and it should be ready for tomorrow which i’m all out of meds now so i have to get them. we shall see…

Staff is always kind, friendly, patient and helpful! I'm always afraid of talking to strangers and cashiers for some reason, so I've never gotten points cards in person. But this one cashier with pretty blue hair made me feel comfortable enough to get one, and she was so kind and patient. The other staff has helped me numerous times locating products, and letting me know what's in stock when I called in ahead of time for my grocery runs. They have hand sanitizer and now have plexiglass everywhere to protect their workers and customers so it's great.

Had the best experience getting my flu shot here. Staff were friendly, informative and genuinely helpful! Vaccine was quick and easy to book online

Expensive than others.. but provide timely service and most of the products at one place.

Other reviews are correct about the pharmacy being incompetent. I encounter issues here that I don’t at any other pharmacy. 3 star review because the non pharmacy part of the store has always been solid - just avoid the pharmacy.

This is the shoppers I normally go too and have been for years!! I normally don’t have an issue and have great experiences with staff! However, during my last visit I was with my Partner and my Cousin. My partner is 6’1 and they where wearing all black (I was as well) nothing to alternative…I was looking at the makeup and the staff made a comment to my Partner about bringing the stuff they have to the counter. Assuming they’re stealing, they were not. They where with me so I could buy new mascara. Reminder that just because a person is “alternative” in the way they dress doesn’t mean they’re stealing — it created an unwelcoming atmosphere

I had a really nice experience at this Shoppers today. I went in to buy some make-up products as a pretty inexperienced make-up user in general, plus I was not in the greatest mood to be honest. Cass, the person working in the make-up area, was so friendly, kind and helpful. She took the time to explain different products to me, how they worked etc. She considered what I was looking for with each product as well as my budget and helped me find the best fit for my skin and daily needs. The person working as cashier (not in the make-up section, but the general rest of the store), was also very friendly. I apologize for not remembering her name, but this was at around 8:30pm on June 28th, 2021, if that helps. As the store was very close to closing when I went in, I'm sure everyone working was quite tired and ready to go home after a long day. However, nobody expressed any annoyance or impatience with me being there (and I wouldn't have blamed them if they did, lol). All in all, it was just a really nice experience that lifted my mood, and I will absolutely return to this shoppers if I need more make-up, or anything else really. Thanks so much!

I've been on my medicine for 15 years. I know the routine. I know how long it takes I even plan my evening on getting my medicine and getting home. I've been here 3 times out of necessity because my regular pharmacy is closed if I work late.ALL 3 TIMES I got my medicine from this pharmacy, specifically from the owner pharmacist, I waited over an hour as she served everyone before me. She then says 10 minutes. Then 20 min. Then go home and I'll call. Then it was a glitch in the system. My medicine can't be missed it caused massive health problems and she literally told me to walk half hour to another shoppers she couldn't fix the glitch. What a joke. I will never come to shoppers again. The customer service is horrendous at the pharmacy

The pharmacy team here did not move my prescription to the other location and so i have had 2 more refills with them. The issue has been exactly the same, the pharmacy team cannot count the number of days between refills, and cannot explain how they do their counting. When I spoke to them on the phone it was rudely suggested that I come to the pharmacy to have it explained in person. So I went, they could not explain, and were absolutely wrong. Changing this to a 1 star review because the service was appallingThe pharmacy staff was fairly rude over the 5 plus interactions I had with them. They were not especially attentive to the questions and requests I made. They had issues understanding that I was asking to schedule a refill for a different day than I was calling on. I would call to schedule refills because on two occasions I had come to pick up a prescription, and they would have forgotten to fill it. I've moved all my business to a different location, I don't feel this team is competent.

I had the absolute worst costumer service today at this location. The front end cashier in the afternoon refused to do an exchange for me even if we had a conversation not even 10 minutes prior. She got very angry that I asked for a manager to complete the transaction and even swore at me. Her angriness and rudeness was completely unnecessary and unwelcomed. This is not a person that should be working in costumer service.
