By far this is the best hair salon experience I have had in Victoria!Tara has talent, experience and it shows!She is very knowledgeable, excellent with hair cuts even for long hair and she is pleasant to deal with, unpretentious, unlike other stylists have dealt with in the past at other salons. The ambiance of this salon instead, is welcoming, cozy and comfortable. I felt relaxed and I felt my stylist understood exactly what haircut I was looking for and the result was PERFECT! She also offered useful suggestions, which I believed were great! I had been to more expensive salons downtown and the ambiance was intimidating, the hair cut was poor and the cost was outrageous.At Design House Salon I found my stylist for a fair price and an environment that is pleasant and comfortable. Highly recommend it to anyone who wants an amazing stylist and a peaceful ambiance!

For years my stylist was the owner Chantelle and I could never imagine letting anyone else touch my hair for the rest of my life! When the time came for her to recommend another stylist at her salon, I was nervous. She let me know she specifically thought Rachelle and I would be a good fit and WOW!I loved meeting with Rachelle. And she did one heck of a job! After 6 weeks, I swear I am still thankful everytime I wash my hair and get ready for work. It looks beautiful and is easy to manage. She took off nearly half, but my hair doesn't look short. It looks awesome!!The photo is from the evening I left her chair at the new designhouse salon in Fernwood. 5 stars!

Tara is the best stylist in Victoria. She does my hair and my daughter's too. This place is laid back and just great. Don't go downtown, go here. Tara understands how hair works, you can tell.

I went for the first time to this salon. Great atmosphere. Emerald did an amazing job! Best haircut I have ever had! Highly recommend her.

I absolutely love this salon. It is so relaxing, and the staff are amazing and friendly. Emerald has been cutting and colouring my hair for a couple of years now, and always seems to find the perfect thing for me! I can't reccomend her, or DesignHouse enough.

I highly recommend Emerald as a hair dresser! I just can’t put into words how happy I am with my hair! I went into the salon with a vague idea of what I wanted but not sure exactly. Emerald gave me a haircut and colour that looks like it was made for me, it’s how my hair should have looked for years! It’s fits me perfectly! She is the kindest and loveliest person I’ve ever met and just so amazingly accommodating to some parenting issues that came up during my appointment!! I can’t imagine going to anyone else for my hair.

I've been a couple times and had my hair cut with Tara. I have curly hair and a lot of people don't know how to deal with it. Tara layers it perfectly.

Tara always gives me a great cut that makes me look and feel terrific. I look forward to seeing her and turning my wild hair over to her!
