This is my favourite California Sandwiches location. All the others are good, but I always find this one to be the most consistent. I’ve been coming here for about 15 years now. The sandwiches are always very hot and fresh. Even their bread is all homemade. Each sandwich is pilled high with the meat or vegetable of your choice loads of sauce and toppings. Make sure to grab a side of spicy olives, you won’t be disappointed!

Have been to this location several times; service is pretty quick (although sometimes there is a line during peak times) and friendly. I get the veal sandwich with cheese and onions, which is fantastic every time. Sandwiches are huge! I always have leftovers for later. Their spicy marinated olives are also very delicious. Was not impressed with the pasta salad though - it was underseasoned and pretty bland.

Ordered take out, app said sandwich was 17.00. wasn't worth the price tag taste wise. Portion was good. When the bag came the sandwich said 12.00 on the receipt.Got the pork schnitzel sandwich, and the flavor is pretty underwhelming. It tastes like something I slapped together at home with no thought put into it.Not trusting the guy who recommended this place to me for sure.

First time having a California sandwich. Went in to have a look at the menu. The attendant did not seem happy when I said I had not made up my mind yet. Mind you, I was not in the lineup but away as to not hog the line.Finally, I made up my mind and ordered a sweet veal sandwich with mushrooms and provolone cheese. It was amazing. Breaded and cooked veal, massive bun and topping of tomato sauce was heavenly. Will definitely have to try the other options next time I visit.,

Best veal sandwich in Toronto. I've been going to the original location for over 30 years and the Etobicoke location is just as good (almost!). Huge sandwiches that are really tasty. The sauce is excellent and the meat tender, with a nice fresh bun. These guys sell a thousand sandwiches on some days for a reason.

I served California Sandwiches at an event last week, and everyone loved it! The portions are generous and the flavours are amazing! The sandwiches even taste delicious the next day! I would definitely order from them again!

I gave the 2 stars because of the stupid TIP enforcement system (That many locations have and they all get low score by me and hopefully others). If you pay buy card you have to go through the tip suggestions (15%, 20% etc...) which is a great profit for the owner however me and I am sure many others are not comfortable with and I see no reason why should I tip before I got my order? I hope more people will adopt this review system to express what they really think about it. Food and service are acceptable, price a bit high...
