The Brian Kilrea Arena has had its heyday. It is still a well-used Arena as can be seen by all of the Pennants hanging in the arena ice facility. But the place is in need of a refresh. One thing is for certain the refrigeration system is top-notch. This arena is very cold which results in an excellent ice surface.

Outdoor rink is one of the best in the city. Indoor rink is average. Decent number of seats to watch the game, lobby area is small though. Canteen is typically closed but occassionally I have seen it open.

I tried calling and emailing the coordinator a few times over 2 years. I have not spoken to her yet. Ended up registering at Minto on Lancaster for skating lessons. They answer phone calls and emails within a reasonable amount of time. I gave it a 2 because I have to have a VERY bad experience to give a 1 star rating.

This rink, at one time was the central hub of my childhood. I use to play hockey in this arena before it was renamed Brian Killrea Arena " and the one thing i remember was the rink was a very child friendly place. The canteen was a very special place for me because after practice or a game we would get like 3-4$ and get a big bag of penny candy lol.The Arena is not as big as others like the Jim Durrell arena or the Blackburn arena but i love it all the same. The change rooms are very small and as a result gets very loud fast and the smell can get pretty strong with 15 players all in one room after a game. This arena will always be special to me and i hope it remains for years to come."

Ended up playing a beer league game here because the 67s were hogging Landsowne. Rooms are a bit tight for grown men but the rest of the building is great.

We frequently practice baseball here. The infield is great with no bad hops/bounces. Lots of parking and lots of sun exposure for practices that run into the evening. Also my younger son likes that there are lots Poke Stops!

Classic older Hockey rink, clean and well maintained. The Jewel here is the new covered outdoor rink. Regular scheduled shinny. Check it out.
