A Dog's Ruff

A Dog's Ruff is absolutely amazing. I feel so fortunate to have learned about them and to have my puppy benefit from Andrea, Kat, and Niall's care. My 6 month old Labrador retriever has had a 'Ruff 'n Fluff' and has been boarded with A Dog's Ruff. The genuine interest and care they took in my puppy was obvious within minutes of first meeting. I take great comfort in knowing that my dog is in good hands and enjoying adventures when he's with A Dog's Ruff.

Just sad they haven't expanded! We've been using A Dog's Ruff for a couple of months with our Aussie Shepherd puppy and I could not recommend them enough. We have recently moved out out of the area and I'm just so sad that our pup won't be seeing these guys anymore. They treat your dogs like their own and give so much love, care and attention to your dog. Our pup always came home happy and exhausted after spending the day with his doggy friends and with Niall, Andrea and Katherine. You guys are so awesome and we were the most sad to leave the Rosedale area simply because of A Dog's Ruff services. I recently boarded my dog with A Dog's Ruff (Katherine!) for a week, and had such a phenomenal experience. It was my first time leaving him (he's just over a year old, a rambunctious little dog needing lots of attention!), and it was hard for me to trust him to someone else's care. However, I immediately felt so at ease with Katherine - I knew she would care for him as if he was her own (she continually expressed SO much genuine love for him!), and I felt so reassured knowing he was not only in loving hands, but such professional hands too. She had me fill out a vet letter in advance, just in case he needed any care while I was away - it was little details like this that gave me such confidence. She sent me pictures and videos daily, and even picked him up and dropped him off from my home. At pick up, she sent me a video of his response to her entering, and of her re-locking my door upon leaving ... both of these videos were so appreciated! At drop-off, she refreshed his water bowl, and made sure he was settled comfortably back in. I have only positive things to say about her and the team, and will absolutely request their services again in the future. What a gem!!!! It is beautiful, honest, open-hearted people and companies like this that make the world a better place! Thank you Katherine!

We have a French bulldog, Nessa, who is almost 9 years old. For over 7 years, before A Dog’s Ruff, we used a few dog walkers in Toronto. While we had some good experiences, we have a stubborn dog, so if she did not want to walk after 10 minutes, that was all she would get and they brought her home. Some also repeatedly took her to off leash parks, which was not a great experience for her.Nessa boarded with Andrea and Niall a few times, and her experiences were incredible. For her time with them, she became part of their family and was clearly receiving attention while we were away on vacation. We could tell with the drop offs and pick ups that Nessa loved spending time with them.About a year ago, Nessa started doing walks with A Dog’s Ruff, and we have noticed an immediate and positive change in her. She is very tired out from the walks, but gets excited every day to go out with Andrea, Katherine, and all of her friends. Nessa has a few health issues (colitis which can impact her energy, and she previously had neck and eye surgery). Despite this, we are so happy with the adventures she gets to experience with A Dog’s Ruff, and know that they are aware of her limitations, and make sure that she remains happy and healthy.During the hot 2020 summer, she was always hydrated, and we knew that she was in good hands. Nessa even perks up with excitement when we watch videos of A Dog’s Ruff on Instagram, because she can hear Andrea and Katherine’s voices, which clearly makes her happy. I am so happy that Nessa is getting such quality walks with A Dog’s Ruff, and would highly recommend this business to all dog owners.

tldr: Trustworthy, great communication, dogs are happy and tired when they get back, plus they made fast friends with even the most dramatic of chihuahausA Dogs Ruff has been so great! We got a recco to try them out from my sister, who often has her pup Soady go on big walks. We could see all the fun he was having on their IG and through text.I was worried about one of our pups, Cookie, as she's an absolute drama queen, but they all made fast friends. When her little paws got too cold in the winter (she refuses to wear boots) Kat carried her in her jacket or in the puppy backpack. Now all 3 dogs, Soady, Mr. Waffles, and Cookie go together every other Wednesday (we'd go more, but we drive into the city and stay at Soady's apartment for the day to be in the pick up zone).Mr. Waffles is a very happy easy going guy, and he always comes back with the biggest smile. We've seen a big increase in Cookie's confidence as well. They even sang her happy birthday on her big day!

A Dog's Ruff gets 10/10 in my books. They are by far the most caring group of people I have ever left my dog with. Whether for adventure walks or boarding, they have welcomed my dog into their home with wide arms. Having them welcome him into their home as if he were their own dog really gave me peace of mind any time I traveled. I never worried about him, and knew he was safe & sound in their care.Having a reactive dog can be difficult, but Andrea and her team had no issues managing (what I find to be) difficult/aggressive behaviour.They take the dogs out on long adventures, and the dogs are always happy and healthy at the end of the day.

This review is LONG over due. We can not say enough about Andrea, Niall and Kat. We have a very anxious dog who gets quite nervous when separated from the family, and didn't like riding in cars, but with their care and attention, Gilbert is thriving and loves his walks. They are all kind, patient and love Gilbert like their own. It was especially thoughtful when they sent videos and gave us regular updates to let us know how he was doing during the walks to help put our minds at ease. We appreciate the effort they make to take the dogs on fun adventures and not just walk them around the neighbourhood. Thank you Andrea, Niall and Kat for all you do!!

Andrea treats our dog, Ruby, like she is her own. She is caring and fun, and Ruby is so excited to see her every morning. We trust Andrea completely with our fur baby which is why we recently chose to board Ruby with her as well. It was our first time leaving our dog, so we were a little anxious, but Andrea was extremely responsive when we checked in and even sent us photos of Ruby having fun. We cannot recommend Andrea enough and feel very lucky to have found her.

A Dog’s Ruff is simply the best! They honestly care about every dog and their passion is genuine. We love our dog Duglas as we do our child, and from the first moment we met Katherine and Niall, we knew that we could trust them with his life wholeheartedly. We’re so lucky and grateful to have them!
