Laika Dog Training

We first started training our border collie male, Elmo, at 5 months with Laika Dog Training.Daria is clearly experienced and knowledgeable, she right away pinpointed our pup's issues.Over the course of Elmo's training, we learnt to use cues and he quickly adapt to them.It is worth every penny. I never considered training until I realized how Elmo started behavioral issues around people and to be reactive to other dogs.He is 13 months now and I have noticed a big change but training needs to be applied strictly everyday, especially with this high energy breed.We take advantage of the scheduled weekend sessions, such a helping tool!Thank you Daria for all your help, we clearly see a HUGE improvement :)

Daria is indeed a dog nerd! — Just take a look at her website and read her bio and the origin of her company’s name and logo. She knows A LOT of mostly every aspect of how to raise a healthy and happy dog, and how to be a happy dog owner — and she is still constantly updating her knowledge with new research and info. I am so happy to see how my dog, Tekky, and myself, have transformed throughout the training sessions with her — to become increasingly confident, reliable, and be connected with each other. Daria is a very knowledgeable dog trainer. She is patient and kind to dogs. After several one on one training, my high energy Shiba become well behaved, able to be recalled when off leash, which is very hard for a Shiba.I would definitely recommend Daria as your dog trainer!

Highly recommend Laika Dog Training. I'm a first time dog owner, and have a cattle dog mix who has a nervous temperament. Daria was really patient and helpful, teaching me a lot of techniques for helping him to feel comfortable in different spaces, and working on handling. Daria also did a Board & Train with him and I felt a lot of relief knowing my dog was well taken care of, being trained and properly exercised. Highly recommend!

Working with Daria has been incredible. We have been working with her since our GSD was 12 weeks old and we could not be more grateful. Working line breeds are not without their challenges, for us it was primarily his high intensity, leash reactivity, etc., but Daria has been amazing at helping us through those behaviours and always goes above and beyond. She’s always available to answer questions in between sessions, checks in to see how things are going, and always sends recordings of training sessions, videos and links to additional resources! Daria is a professional, dedicated and hard working dog trainer that really cares about her clients and their pups.I'm so glad I found Daria back in November last year.At that time I had not much hope for my 3yo GSD Maggie that would display severe aggression toward new people and dogs, to the point where we hardly enjoyed going outside of the house.Having guests at home would simply be out of the question.Fast forward 6 months (~ 10 sessions) and we're now passing both dogs and people calmly in the street, I've gained the confidence and skills to present new people to Maggie in the house, we're participating and having a blast in the group classes/walks, and both Maggie and I are excited to start the day going to the park and playing off-leash!The impact that the training had on the relationship and communication with my dog truly has no price.Thank you Daria!

We have had an excellent experience working with Laika Dog Training! We are first time dog owners to a 14 month old German Shepherd who has had reactivity and impulse control issues since being a puppy. We have been working with Daria for just about a year now and have seen so much improvement in our puppy’s behaviour. Daria works with the upmost of professionalism, she is kind and patient and always available, in between sessions, for the multitude of questions and concerns we have about our puppy. She is extremely knowledgeably on all aspects of training dogs and the well-being the dogs in general. We have participated in her great group trainings as well as group walks. We would not be where we are today if it wasn’t for Daria and we would recommend her services without hesitation!

Daria is a fantastic trainer and really cares about her clients and their dogs. We've been working with our puppy since she's been about 4 months (she's now 11 months), and for our dog's age and energy/social level she is doing really well both indoors and outdoors. Daria had a huge role with that as she helped us understand how to best approach our puppy.Daria is also available for any questions during our non training times, and works hard to maintain a relationship with her clients/gives them opportunities to practice around other dogs and like minded owners.Highly recommend her as your trainer! Daria is an amazing trainer. She is well-versed in what she does.I contacted Daria when Corty was going through her teenage defiant phase; leash reactive, ressource guarding, and handful of other puppy behaviors.
