The wife and I were looking for a light weight canoe that doesn't break the bank when we go on our camping trips with our two dogs. We decided to check out Freedom Canoe & Kayak's after a few google searches. The owner Mike came over to check up on us and answered any questions we had, very knowledgeable and down to earth. Ended up with a 16 foot Sportspal . If you're looking for a canoe, kayak or paddle boards or any accessories you will not find anyone better in customer service, highly recommended plus reasonable prices. Will be returning in the spring to look at Kayak's due to the awesome service we got.

Had a great experience renting a tandem kayak. Super friendly people and great rates for a two hour rental. The kayaks are in great condition. We are definitely coming back.

It was a great experience to do canoeing at lake Scugog by the help of Freedom Canoe and Kayak . They have really nice deals for renting out canoes and variety of options available. Receptionist was really helpful in suggestions for the area to do canoeing safely, also the location of them is at walking distance from lake.

The owner Mike was fantastic. I was really certain about getting a fishing kayak. He let me try one out for free and it really made me realize that it wasn't for me. All his advice was really helpful and I would highly recommend him for his expertise and welcoming demeanor. The selection is huge and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend coming here for any of your paddling needs.

Thank you guys for being there. We had an amazing time with the rental. The owners were so nice and accommodating, we will be back for sure. Parking is also available on site ans shirt walk to the lake.

Best shop ever, they have various activity choices, for sale and rent.equipment new and clean, lake has very beautiful view from different angles.And most important the owner was very welcoming and so friendly and kind, also honest, highly recommendedThey deserve 10 stars, not just 5

We purchased a canoe over the winter months and left a $150 deposit to hold the canoe until the spring. Unfortunately due to unforeseen circumstances we have decided to sell our cottage and no longer require the canoe. I offered for Janice and Mike to keep the deposit for their inconvenience but they insisted on returning it. This to me is incredible customer service. Janice and Mike are honest and kind and they put their customers first. I highly recommend Freedom Canoe and Kayak.

Mike at Freedom Kayak is truly customer- focused and service-oriented. He will take all the time necessary to help a person figure out what they need and how to use it, always helpful and encouraging. And no pressure. He wants his customers to be happy and will do whatever is required to achieve that. I can't recommend Freedom Kayak enough!

Mike and Janice are great to deal with and take the time to walk you through the gear, specs, and insight to allow you to make the right decision for your needs. The big box stores lack the service and the ability to try out the kayak's for comfort, size and see the features up close. Their competitive pricing beats others and most of all it is great to deal with a family run business.
