Cleland Community Theatre

This is my favorite venue for more cozy concerts. It is Penticton's Community Theatre. The Theatre seats 443 with complete technical equipment, lighting and sound. The Cleland Community Theatre hosts national and international performers, symphonies, school groups, comedians, noteworthy speakers and community groups. I have attended many shows at this venue and have always thoroughly enjoyed myself. The seating, in common terms, is graduated levels, so every seat in the theatre is a good seat. Seating is very comfortable, the environment is always at prime temperature and the sound is amazing. Handicapped seating is available. Washrooms are easily accessible at the top entrance. Very clean. And, if that's not all, there is elevator service available to accommodate easy access to the theatre floor level. I look forward to attending many more shows at The Cleland.

I have always had a great experience at this theatre. Be it from the audience watching amazing comedy shows, or from the stage itself looking out into the seats.

Great theatre all seats have unobstructed view, great acoustics. The seats are narrow. The reason for a 4 star rating is because their is no concession so bring your own water, more importantly the entrance was hard to find. You need to enter through the pool entrance then turn right to find the stairs/elevator to the 2nd floor. Can be a bit confusing.

We had Christmas concert there and was very impressed.

An ideal mid size community stage, with all the sound, lighting and backstage amenities. Acoustics are excellent, and there's really not a bad seat in the house. Parking outside is convenient and free.

Great acoustics. Seating is well laid out with plenty of room and suspect you can get a great view from all seats. Wandering through the community centre to get there is a bit odd...wish it had its own entrance and building

That venue itself is a great size and the washrooms are not too far. It is in an odd location such that you have to walk by a large pool area that is in use, so not intuitive. As well there are no amenities by the Theater unless setup for that specific event. Bring your own water and maybe some snacks.

Not licensed. Sound was patchy but staff was great and views are pretty good from every seat

Great performing arts theatre. Enjoyed Ignite the Arts Festival performers!
