Friendly until you need actual customer service. I ordered a chair and was told it would be 6 weeks...after 2 months I called them to ask where it was and they didn't know saying we will look into it" and call you back. Two days later I called and left a message. Another two days go by and I finally had a return call. They said it may be another 2 weeks but they were unsure because they don't do the manufacturing only the sales. Poor communication and poor customer service. What was suppose to be 6 weeks ended up being 3 months."

I was impressed with the large selection of quality recliners at Island Home Furniture but the reason I decided to offer a review is the staff! The staff were attentive but not in the way, I never felt pressured to buy which is ultimately why I decided to deal with them. However when there was a problem with the recliner that was delivered the Manager stepped up and fixed things for me quickly and efficiently. I would highly recommend this business to anyone looking to purchase new furniture.

BEST FURNITURE AND MATTRESS STORE IN NANAIMO!!The owner is really nice and helped us choose a high quality mattress for a decent price. We went to all the mattress stores in town and they had the best high quality options for the best prices.We have since also bought a dining table and chairs, as well as a custom swivel chair and are very very happy with everything. Even the delivery guys are fantastic!

My husband and I came in a couple years ago and inquired about a bed as ours had definitely seen better days. Sunny was the one who helped us decide on a fabulous adjustable bed. We are still so happy with it that we recently went back just to look" and ended up with night tables and a cabinet table for an amazing price. These guys are amazing and have a great selection as well as friendly customer service and know how. I can not recommend them enough! Thank you Sunny! And we will be back soon for our DAD chair."

We recently moved from Alberta to BC & ordered our bed/ mattresses / frame from Island Home Furniture. As we were trying to coordinate our bedroom area rug to arrive before the bed, Mike & Sonny extended the use of their warehouse to hold & deliver after the carpet arrived. This was 2 months of storage which was amazing. They even offered to come out & set up the mattresses while we waited on the custom made Canadian Palliser bed.We finally had all installed this past Saturday & I cannot say enough about the installation experience & team, Mike & Matt. True professionals who quietly took their time building the Tempurpedic Split automated bed frame. From sharing a few ideas we had, Mike helped customize 3 different couches for 3 different rooms for us. Most effortless and easy process and incredibly happy with the products. Best shopping experience ever! There was no pressure from the sales team, we could walk around comfortably looking at furniture. However that being said when we had questions the sales team were right there. They answered all of our questions, patiently went through different swatches and options, and never did we feel stress to purchase. We ordered a number of items and we can honestly say that they have a good sharp pencil and gave us a very fair price. We would be neglect not to personally Thank Bruce, he is an exceptional sales person. We would not hesitate to recommend Island Home Furniture to family or friends. I had a fantastic experience at Island Home Furniture--there is a huge election of well-made quality furniture, and the staff (family-run business) are friendly, courteous, and knowledgeable, without being pushy at all. My dad had a similar excellent experience and referred me, and I just bought a sectional and a sofa bed, and would not hesitate to recommend this place to others. They really understand what it means to provide excellent customer service, and it is obvious they love what they do.
