I am just getting in to slot cars . And found the store very friendly and helpful.

Bought a kit and lots of parts were missing from the tree without being notified by the store owner. My guess is he buys people's collection and sells them without checking it it's complete or not. The kit was over $200. Definitely would not shop there again. Make sure you check for all of the parts before you buy or leave the store.

I've been going to Cameo since I was a boy. The owners have always treated me with respect, been informative, and encouraged me to challenge myself with new techniques and ideas to build realistic dioramas and plastic kits. Their price has always been the lowest and I've never received better customer service anywhere. Eventually you begin to realize that Cameo is more of a community, as most people I've spoken to share similar experiences as my own. There's a reason why they've been in business as long as they have been and their knowledge on just about anything hobby oriented reflects that. There are things in their store that have been discontinued for decades but they've managed find them. Obscure, specialty models that I was very confident the last had been built long, long ago. Then purchased by me at much, much less than I expected to pay. Anyway, that's a bit of my story there. Good luck and happy hunting. If you can't find it anywhere else, chances are they have it somewhere in their floor to ceiling stacks of joy.

Bought a toy train set and a slot racer set. Both worked, good customer service, and one of the few places left in the lower mainland where you can buy models, train sets, and accessories.

The staff was very friendly. The collection of rolling stock is sparse, but for the size of the store it is alot. I saw models of really anything you can think of. No RC cars though, they don't sell them. They had buildings and people for layouts, and a decent collection of N-Scale and H0. Please consider visiting them if you have time, they deserve it!

Love this place !!! Always so helpful and Chuck will find it if he doesn't have it. Great prices on model paints. My wife goes in to this store for paint for me and is treated like a queen. They talk to her and ask what I am working on. Never ever have had a problem here. Don't listen to these reviews. At least from my experience.

Old school hobby shop. Lots of older rare kits. New products as well. Friendly owner. One of the few good hobby shops left in the lower mainland. Check it out.

Met with Greg. I assume he's the owner. Hooked me up with some used track pieces for my son's model train set. Very fair dude to deal with. As my son's love grows for the trains, I'll be going back many MANY more times

Had a great experience. Not only were the guys polite and not rude to me, or the women in the store, as suggested by others, but they climbed shelves to get products for us, showed us the store, talked shop a bit, and had an EXCELLENT selection.The prices are pretty average for these kits. People say they charge high, I disagree. Many models are overpiced these days from the distributor. Cameo charges the regular rate and I have seen far worse in town and Vancouver. Who cares if they have a drink in their store? They didn't when I was there, but I would if I was chilling in a model store.No comments on the coin portion. I care less than 0 about coins. :-)

Don't listen to the negative reviews here, these guys have been in business for 30 years and know their stuff. Cameo has the best selection of model kits in the lower mainland, not to mention 1000's of out of production kits that are very hard to find. Prices are excellent and the service is top notch. It is a very social atmosphere and I've always felt welcomed and valued when I shop. Highly recommended.
