Slegg Building Materials

I needed an old part to fix a lock on my door. Went to all the usual places, Home Hardware, Home Depot and Canadian Tire. No one had the part and so it seemed like we were going to need to replace the whole matching set with a new one ($100-200 range). We tried Slegg last and should have gone there first. The guy there who helped me immediately recognized he part and knew it was no longer sold so he rummaged through a drawer of parts and found one for me! When I asked be price he just told me to take it, I guess they didn’t sell them anymore anyway but he was just happy to help. Thank you!

The staff here are top notch! They’re so helpful and friendly.

Spent 15 minutes of the phone with a lady there who could not figure out whether they had 1x10 fascia boards in stock or not. She eventually transferred me to a guy who told me that they don't have any but that the Cumberland location had some. Good thing I called that Cumberland location because after 13 additional minutes on the phone, they painfully figured out that they don't have any in stock either. This Slegg outlet badly needs to improve their front end customer service/info (staff and IT system).

This store is so much nicer than when we were last in over a year ago. Excellent customer service! Easy to find things, and staff are friendly and helpfulWill definitely be back

Being a small Contractor here in the Comox Valley. The staff at SLEGG on Anderton rd in Comox are incredibly knowledgeable . From the ladies in the front working the front (Sue, Sarah, Kathy, & Chasidy) Too the Men , Norm & Michael E, (as well at the contractor's desk)the talent of helpful yard staff. Makes my several trips to SLEGG a nice break in my week. Great job SLEGG!

So grateful to have found this store. Being new to the area and in the renovation industry, it’s a bit overwhelming shopping around and finding the best quality for competitive prices.Norm in the paint department is a complete gem and his extensive knowledge and expertise is invaluable. Sue at the cash knows her stuff and also has personality and character, something retail staff so often forget about. Happy to spend our money here :)

Beats the bigger slegg store by in 100 miles.This store has helpful staff in every department friendly and knowledgeable i come here for all my paint needs and then some. Very highly recommend shopping here any time of the week.

I bought a lumber package and had it delivered. Even though the store was clearly very busy the cashier (Kathy?) was professional, efficient, and made sure that my needs were met and concerns were answered. The front end staff is always helpful and knowledgeable and the entire store regularly exceeds my expectations in its variety and organization.
