We stayed at Heritage Cottages for 2 nights. We stayed in Cottage 3 it was nice inside.....the bed was very squeaky when you moved or rolled over but overall the cottage was very nice. Ernie and Linda were super made you feel right at home. We had so much fun walking in the ocean when the tide was out all the little creatures ...it was awesome. After our 2 day stay we went across the bridge to PEI... we wanted to stay overnight there but there was not a single room available on the whole Island. we had to come back across the bridge. We went back to the Heritage Cottages in hopes that they had one available for the night. They did and it was the same one we were in the 2 nights before we were so thankful. The next time we go east I'm definitely going to stay there again only longer this time we had a blast. We also met a lot of really great people while staying there. BT was great also she gave us the room for the extra nite Thanks AgainTom and Sue Jansen

Older cabins in need of some serious renovations. The cabins were clean but run down. Even the furniture seemed to be random and unmatched garage sale items. The cabins were probably good about 10-15 years ago but have been obviously neglected. It’s a shame, the location and area is great. No toiletries available. The screen doors never closed all the way and insects easily entered. Very expensive compared to other places in the Tatamagouche area. Much cheaper options in town.

Ernie was very friendly and personable, and seems to be trying his best to fix up these antiquated mini cabins, but currently they're very much budget accommodations. Cabins are located in a grass field with no water view, the shared beach is littered with old seaweed and broken shells (no fault of Ernie's, but we'd hoped to swim-- the provincial beach 5 minute drive away was better but still not great). Ernie was very helpful and accommodating with our last minute booking, and around to help regularly if you need anything.

Cosy cabins close to the sea front. Great for families. Cabins are clean but beds aren't comfortable for adults. The beach close by is just ok for kids. This is a decent place to stay if you're meeting up with friends elsewhere, or if you're going to other beaches.

My wife and I stayed here for 2 nights and enjoyed our stay very much.  These are quaint, rustic cottages in a great location, close to many beaches and attractions and a short drive to Tatamagouche.  Our one bedroom cottage was comfortable and big enough for the both of us.  We had friends staying at the same time in a 2 bedroom cottage and we ate our big meals in their cottage as they had a full kitchen. This family owned and operated business keep their grounds and cottages clean and tidy. There's a well stocked Canteen and movies to borrow.  They also provide plenty of outdoor games and activities for kids and adults alike. Janea will go to great lengths to accommodate just about any request. There is a central fire pit for everyone to enjoy as long as there is no fire ban.We were pleasantly surprised at how quiet and restful it was at night.  The cottages show their age in some places which adds to its unique charm but what’s missing in modern amenities, it makes up for with genuine Nova Scotia hospitality.  We will certainly return.Tip:  Whenever we rent cabins or cottages and plan on doing a lot of cooking, we always bring with us our favourite cooking utensils and amenities such as: steak knives, a favourite skillet, napkins etc.

Will be back again next year. Wonderful for kids, huge field in front of the cabins for kicking a soccer ball around, playground set, etc.
