Went here a couple of weeks ago, had the fresh guacamole dip and the shrimp burritos, the servings were decent and the food was very good, our server was fast and friendly. I will definitely go back.

+ Food (especially various tacos) is really good, place is nicely decorated- margarita cocktail quality could be improved (tastes as if its from ready-to-drink bottle from the supermarket , as well as cleanliness of the place (dump smell inside)

Cabeza Grande at 60 9 St NE, Calgary, AB T2E 8B8, is a fantastic addition to the Bridgeland community. I was initially drawn to this local restaurant, hoping it would become a staple in the area, but my first experience left me disappointed. However, after four months, I decided to give the restaurant another chance, and I'm so glad I did.The recent changes in the restaurant have had a remarkable impact on the quality of their food and service. The staff is now more attentive and engaged and provides exceptional service. They are professional in attire and demeanor and have become a huge reason for my frequent visits to this restaurant.I highly recommend checking out the live music on Thursday nights. The current performer, Chandler Beradi, offers a fantastic and easy-to-listen-to experience. It adds a complimentary dimension to your evening out and is highly recommended. The menu is full of delicious and unique options, but I highly recommend the Bangin' Shrimp tacos. They are a personal favorite, and I can't get enough of them. My children, who prefer less spice, enjoy the Al Pastor tacos, which are equally impressive. And, if you're looking for a side dish, the Nachos with chicken are a must-try. The chicken is moist, full of flavor, and the dish is well-balanced.I strongly recommend visiting this restaurant, which has made significant strides in improving the quality of their food and service. If you were initially disappointed during their opening days, it's time to give Cabeza Grande another chance. It's now a fantastic spot for a night out, a casual dinner, or any other occasion.

Really good tacos! Went on taco Tuesday and definitely decently priced and a good amount of meat too. Really cool vibes and a nice place to just come and work as well.Definitely going back!

This is the second time we have tried this place. The first was about a month after they opened. The food was pretty good but the service was so terrible. We tried tonight again, five months later. The service is still pretty terrible. Not sufficient floor staff. Of the staff they had, they are poorly trained. They took my wife and my drink order and almost left without taking my daughters. We ordered drinks and guacamole. The guacamole showed up in 10 mins, drinks were 10 mins later. For the guacamole you need more chips. Why doesn't the order just come with a basket of chips? Last time we ordered three extra bowls to eat all of our guacamole. This time we stopped at one since no one actually came around and asked if we wanted more.Meal was delayed, not a big issue if we are getting reasonable drink service. 15mins with an empty glass is very poor. Meal showed up late and cold. If I wanted a cold burrito, I would have ordered take out. When we finished our meals, we waited 10 minutes before I had to go to the bar to get our bill so we could pay.Though the service was poor, they were pleasant. The guacamole was very good. You can tell the food could be good but when it is that cold, it is hard to be sure. AND not once did anyone ask how the food or service was.You need more hot sauces. You only have basically sauces. Buy more, they are cheap, you should have 10 to 20 different sauces for people to try.We love new restaurants in our area, we try to support them as best we can, there is so many good ones. Places like this need to close down so we can get another good one in that location. So many better places in the area, avoid this one.Cabeza Grande Manager: I don't write public reviews on businesses very often, I prefer to be upfront and discuss it with the manager. I was going to ask for you but your kitchen manager threw you under the bus for the issues going on since you were not in the restaurant tonight. I wish you the best of luck with your team.

I visited with 4 friends from Mexico and hoped to impress them with this place close to my apartment. What a mistake! The service was horrible, the food was cold and tasteless. Nothing like Mexican food at all! After 30 minutes, and others being served before us, we were told they are out of carne asada. Had to wait another 20 minutes for 4 tacos. Really! Ramp it up or close the door! Don't waste your time here....there are plenty of great places to eat in Bridgeland that give a darn about food, service and making this barrio a fooy paradise. BTW, stay away from the Tortilla soup..no Tortillas in the cambells tomatoe soup. Yuk!

Disappointed based on reviews of other locations. The good: location, decoration/atmosphere, and service - still some kinks to work out but staff was very friendly and knew the menu. The tortilla chips were also good. Best taco I had was the mushroom one.The bad: expensive for what you get, tacos were all dry and lacked flavour (I had three), appetizer was small (especially for the price) and very basic. Service was still disorganized although I'm not blaming them as it's a new location.

Great fried avocado bites and al pastor tacos! Location is great to walk to, parking would probably suck. The outdoor seating was lovely. We each had a mint coconut margarita and frankly it could definitely use more coconut flavour but it was still good. My friend was extremely happy that everything can be made without cilantro if you are one of those cilantro hater people. And as she learned, it's good to know that caliente is hot/spicy for food as she was surprised the have spicy fish tacos. But it says caliente right on the menu, she just doesn't have any Spanish.
