Mays is a nice chinese food restaurant in a small community. The owner is very friendly and always nice to speak with. The lemon chicken and shanghai noodles are standout dishes in my opinion. I just love those two!I find that the mixed meat and vegetable type dishes however all have a similar taste profile. There really is not difference in taste between them. I am not sure why this is, but I tend to only order one of these dishes now instead of a usual 2. If there could be more variation in the flavors, this would be a 5 start rating for sure.

Lots of fresh veggies. Seasoned perfect, not overly salty as modern standard. I find all food in general including many restaurant food so high in sodium. People are used to this unfortunately. “Mays” keep it just good. Like home cooked meal. It is not bland like some says. Portion good. Good service. No complaints.

I felt like the food was good for a little town. We got the dinner for 4. Portion size was great. Stir fries were fresh with good portion of meat and vegetables. The only thing I wasn’t gone on was the chicken balls. I’m not usually a chicken ball lover. They had too much breading for my liking.

We ordered several dishes for takeout: Shanghai Noodles, Honey Garlic Chicken, Kung Pao Chicken, General Tao Chicken and Veggie Fried Rice. The food was hot, fresh and flavourful when we ate it over twenty minutes later. They were also willing to accommodate specific food preferences in some of the dishes, (e.g. no green peppers.) We will definitely order from here again. (And, the pictures were taken after we combined the leftovers!)

My group of ladies ordered our food for after we finished at the haunted trail and it was all still a great hot temperature even after our drive to Pefferlaw. Tasty too! Thanks!

This is the third time we have tried it over a 3 year span...each time with hope it will be better, only to be met with disappointment. The food is incredibly bland and tasteless. We got the dinner for 4 with a low mein added on and all the dishes had the same, bland underwhelming taste. The chicken balls each only have a tiny piece of chicken with under cooked/doughy batter around it. We won't be back and will continue our drive to Port Perry where their prices are better and the dishes each are full of flavour!

Tried this place on word of mouth from a friend.It’s very out of the way for us [drive wise] but we were pleasantly surprised!The food stayed hot the 40 minute drive home.The chicken balls tend to have more coating then chicken but everything else was PERFECT. And the honey garlic spare ribs? HEAVEN!Mays Restaurant is now our go to chinese food place! [Much better then the food in our area]

Only reason the atmosphere is a 1 star is its blocked off just inside the front door so i've never really gotten to experience it. There food is the BEST chinese food around. We travel almost 20 min one way just to pick up because of their portion sizes!!!! I gave 4 star service because they get our order wrong alot. Wont stop me from going back though!!!

May's has the best lemon chicken I've ever had! Great food all around, we've never been disappointed. The veggies are always well cooked and everything is fresh. Highly recommend!
